I guess it was announced today hes gone. Going to Comcast sports net full time. Tomorrow he says goodbye. On a side note... they need more of that SEC guy. Hes hilarious. That should be the new co host.

I like Dwight. Maybe I'm missing all his bad moments?

Who is the Brainiac that thought putting Dwight Jaynes on the TV more often was a good idea? Is Comcast trying to totally scare away any female viewers that might stumble across their channel?

Between SquishySofty, Chubby RoppSuke, Furness, and Dwight Jaynes, is there an option to just listen to the sound?

I like him on radio. He makes me uncomfortable when he is on TV.

I'm not as much of a Dwight hater as others. I think he is knowledgable and has better access to Blazer stuff than we do. So there are some aspects I will miss.

On the flip side, he didn't really have a radio voice and I would cringe daily while I hear Chad refer to him as godfather . . . "what do you think of this godfather" "godfather, I would like to hear what you ahve to say" "there you have it, straight from the godfather himself" . . . was that driving anyone else nuts.

So overall a positive for me he is leaving the MSP, but I hope they replace him with someone quality.

Blazers are messing me up so much, Chad is actually growing on me.

I like listening to them. Whoever came up with the idea of putting them on TV needs to rethink it. How about if Comcast shows puppets of them that can act out scenes while they are talking? RoppSuke's puppets riding bikes, a la Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, and moving their mouths while their real-life counterparts are talking to each other in the studio.

That would be fun. I like puppets.

For some reason that is completely lost on me, I love watching radio on TV. It's such a strange thing. My wife thinks I'm nuts. She can't think of any thing more boring to watch on TV than a radio simulcast.

Meh. I rarely listen to sports talk radio, and when I did listen to the show he was on, he didn't impress.

HCP probably has more access than Dwight. He voices his opinion on the air and in his blogs rather than providing actual "inside" knowledge. His opinion is just as good as yours.

I cringe and sometimes change the station real quick when Chad starts referring to Dwight as the "Godfather", drives me nuts!

His opinion holds no more weight then ANYBODY on here! He is not respected whatsoever for his opinion by other media. And hell ya I have more access, it's just not worth me losing my job telling you guys what I see and hear.

Well maybe Dwight doesn't know shit. But I have seen Dwight roaming around on the court before games, talking to players and staff. I'm assuming he has media pass and greater access to Blazer information than we do. He has followed the Blazers as part of his job for who knows how many years. He is and has been paid by various businesses to write or talk about his opinion about the Blazers (something probably no one else on this board has been paid for) And he is in the Oregon Sports hall of Fame.

Maybe one could say his analysis about the Blazers is no better analysis than everyone on this board (which I doubt), but to say it has no more weight is not true. I'm guessing many would like to get paid for their opinion about the Blazers . . . but we don't because, in reality, our opinions carry no weight. If you get paid for your opinion, your opinion carries weight . . . maybe not a lot of weight, but enough that some businesses is willing to pay for it.
