Blazers win and L*kers lose tonight. It doesn't get much sweeter than that, unless we were the one to stomp the Flakers.

Loved the defense too. Nate kind of used the same strategy he did against Howard. Let Nash shoot, but play great D against everyone else. Awesome team defense tonight.

And like I quoted myself in another thread, Roy is a shooting guard. The best shooter on the team. He needs to shoot the fucking ball every time he is open. (like Durant does) One dribble and let it fly. Miller is the PG, let him run the offense, let him dribble and let him pass. One dribble and shoot!

How have things changed? We're still struggling to put together a full 48 game--the only difference between the 6 game losing streak and the 4 game winning streak is we've gotten breaks (such as phoenix sucking). The Orlando game featured the same lapse of a full 48 minute game also.

I guess I'm saying not much has changed we're just getting some breaks now.

I'll take the win though--we needed it. Gutsy defensive performance.

Where the FUCk is everybody?? Friday nights never stopped people from posting before. Tonight was maybe the greatest win of the year. We won the tie breaker over Phoenix (in December!) and Roy showed the world that he ain't done yet. Wow. A lot of people have given up on the team.

yep speed is right. you got guys on here making lame excuses on why the game thread is 3 FREAKING PAGES LONG! Thats awful considering game threads use to be 10 pages on off nights. many have jumped ship. thats clear.

but please stop with the bullshit...its plain to see that this site has lost posters and the blazers have lost fans.

What are you talking about? His outside shooting is the most improved part of his game this season. He hardly missed tonight.

Fun game to watch, much like last night.

Two solid wins against good/decent teams. I am pleasantly surprised!

I am so happy that Portland is finally beating teams it should beat. Phoenix is a terrible team, and it's nice to see the Blazers handle them.

No excuses needed. It was Friday night. Most weekend threads are shorter than weeknight threads

I recorded the game and watched it later so I could skip the commercials. I didn't want to check in on the game thread because I didn't want to know what was going on. :)

Great effort last night. Yes we had a dry spell in the 4th, where it just seemed the players tensed up and started to play not to win, instead, not to lose. The aggressive movement and attacking stopped, and the playing the clock for the win started. They pulled it out though, and that is what counts.

The second unit definitely missed Pryzbilla and his ability to set screens, but the rebounds were handled by the rest of the team well. This was a good night for Dante, because he got a lot of minutes matched up with Turkoglu, and I really liked what I saw from Dante when he was matched up with a SF type. I thought he was able to defend well, and he looked more confident on offense going against a smaller player. That move where he curled off of Turkoglu (who fouled him blatantly, no call) for the dunk was sweet. It gives me some hope that he may transition to SF eventually.

Roy played with a nasty attitude tonight, and I liked it. As long as Roy plays hard I really don't care if he is hurt and cannot do what he can do. He is on the team and trying hard to get wins for the fans. He did not ask to be hurt. He may have nights which are rougher than others. His ceiling may not be 40 point games anymore, but the occasional near 30. As long as he plays hard while he is here, that is all I ask.

I thought both our bigs did extremely well. They played all 4 quarters hard. They were not asked to be extremely physical tonight, which was to their advantage.

No need for excuses. Even though I posted last night after the game I will admit I almost didn't turn on the computer. I was enjoying the myself. Got my tickets to the Duck BCS championship game yesterday, enjoyed watching the Blazers while consuming a nice bottle of wine. Life was good. I had a nice little buzz going. Why the fuck would I want to ruin a nice high by reading your bullshit.

Now Mixum I am not saying that you are wrong about everything you write because you're not. What I am saying is that you are one of those irritating MF'ers that every message board has, that for some reason is 99.9 percent negative. Well I know what you are going to say, something to the effect that you are just being realistic, or that we just don't want to face the facts. Well guess what? We know the facts. Every year there is 1 winner and 29 losers. And for the last 3 decades we have lost. But we never give up hope because it is still fun. But guys like you make it less fun. The sad part is that you could be a good poster. You are not stupid. You could throw in some intelligent positive insight once a month and we would take you seriously. But you don't want to. And there are 2-3 others like you, that are not worth losing a good buzz over. (Even when we win) The Blazers have not lost fans. We just don't need more aggravation in our lives..

Uh oh... been called out by the MIX-master. I pledge to step my game up!

P.S. But as long as we're calling folks out, I haven't seen anyone mention "koolaid", "fool's gold", or "the truth" in far too long. Get with it, MIXUM!
