<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Arujuo taded for Humphries and WhaleyTORONTO (AP) -- The Toronto Raptors traded former first-round draft pick Rafael Araujo to the Utah Jazz on Thursday for forward Kris Humphries and center Robert Whaley. Toronto drafted Araujo with the eighth overall pick in the 2004 draft, but he ended up a bust -- averaging just 2.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in 111 career games. ADVERTISEMENT Former general manager Rob Babcock was fired in part because of Araujo's struggles. Fans often booed the 6-foot-10 center. "We wish Rafael well and feel this will be a positive move for both teams," new general manager Bryan Colangelo said. Humphries averaged 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 129 career games with Utah. The 6-foot-9 Humphries was the 14th overall pick in the 2004 draft. Whaley averaged 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 23 games with Utah this past season. Araujo played two seasons at BYU in Provo, Utah -- 40 miles down the road from where the Jazz play. In his last season with the Cougars, the Brazilian center was the Mountain West Conference's co-player of the year. He led BYU in scoring and rebounding with an average of 18.4 points and 10.1 rebounds. He shot 57 percent from the field and made 72 percent of his free throws.</div>I know this isnt an earth shattering move, but I think its gonna have an impact in the draft.
I didn't know Araujo, Humphries and Whaley were such huge names that we had three different threads about the topic created today.
Rafael Araujo was the stupidest pick i've ever witnessed, the kid had no game coming out and nobody knew WTF the Raptors were thinking. Players the Raptors could have picked: Andre Iguodala Josh Smith Sebastian Telfair Anderson Varejao Jameer Nelson Delonte West
Rob BabCOCK is just stupid...It would be so funny if Hoffa tore it up in Utah...Like I said before. Somewhere

Look at all the players TO couldve had.But the trade was good. Anyone for Araujo is a ripoff/steal.
I know I sure was happy when David Stern made the announcement that Toronto took somebody other than Iguodala with the 8th pick... the fact that it was Araujo made it a lot better though (as a Sixers fan).
I don't think this is a huge move, however I don't see why the Jazz would ever want Aruajo and that is very shocking that the Raptors picked him over players like Iguadola or Josh Smith
Oh well, its in the past, and we have a great young core now, with the #1 pick in the NBA draft awaiting us. Like I said before, this is a great trade. Both Whaley and Humphries are young guys, and I'd rather have Humphries than Araujo, because like I said. Araujo looked lost on the court, like he was a 7th grader playing in his first ever basketball game lol. Like the analogy?

If you did and still say he sucked, I think your nuts. He looked great then, and was very strong too. Babcock drafted by position though which wasn't a good idea. But EVERY moch draft had Araujo in the lottery. Its not Babcock's fault. It's the player Araujo and Araujo only.Jazz fans, his nickname is "Hoffa" or "The Brazilian Beast". If he sucks, call him The Brazilian Bust. Here's what to expect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH0TLeAnTBc
