I agree with MIXUM. Maynor seems like he's plateaued this year, and he still below average. I get that he's playing behind a budding superstar, but he hasn't shown anything that I haven't already seen in Patty/Armon. Seems like another mediocre PG prospect.

2 trades that fucked our bench

Not doing Rudy fernandez for Wilson Chandler

Trading Bayless for a garbage pick

Now we are left with a dude frm spain who hates the nba and runs around like a chicken with his head cut off and 2 PGs where 1 can score but cant play defense and the other who can play defense yet is a turnover machine who cant score. Lovely.

Chandler was never offered for Rudy.

So another deal that hurt our bench, not trading Rudy for Manu. Hey, why not make up other shit, right?

You see how he is running now when asked for a definition of an average PG. Just ask him for concrete numbers to define his position and that is his usual response.

average pg???? beno on sac? felton on knicks? beldesoe on clippers.

hes not even close to those guys even if he played 35+ a night. he might get better but i doubt it....

isnt their a pacers forum where you could go convince yourself hibbert is the best center in the nba or something or maybe mcroberts has a chance at the all star game?

Randolph is a guy we should be looking at targeting anyways.....now they're shopping him? No brainer! low risk, high reward and young.

doesn't mean it was offered. They offered two second rounders for him.

He has a style of play that's similar to Lamar Odom. 6-11 and can actually handle the ball a little bit. Give him some time and he could be something.

That said, I'm sure Cho will do nothing.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I'd be very happy dealing a first round pick, top-five and maybe top-ten protected, for Randolph. He's no longer as blue chip a prospect as he once was, but I still think his potential is high. Worth taking a chance on if the cost is just a late-lottery/mid first round pick.

That depends on how much basketball you watch. Eric Maynor is very important to OKC because it allows them to move Russel Westbrook to SG, where he actually gets most of his production. What Maynor does in a positive fashion for OKC, is nearly silent in the stat column. He isn't asked to do much in OKC. In a different environment, it may or may not be different, depending on how the coach uses him. Go watch an OKC game sometime. Take note of when Russel Westbrook really starts to turn on the production. It is almost always when Maynor comes in, and enables him.

Anthony Randolph needs the right situation where the team leadership can bring him out of his funk. He needs the right environment, where the messages from the coaches, and the players around him, are positive for growth, rather then the pressure filled environment he is in now, especially being in New York. Is Portland that place? Where Roy, Camby, and Bill Bayno can go to work on on him and get him turned around?

Also keep in mind that New York is probably still interested in Rudy. You know, Rudy the guy that shoots 36% here? Yea that guy.

The Blazer bench is terrible, and Randolph can get easy baskets and difficult rebounds on athleticism alone. Seems like a logical and necessary trade if it is actually based in reality. :dunno:
