And a convenient excuse for bad games.

Well, at least now Nate has an excuse for this putrid offense.

Brandon Roy tweaked his troublesome left knee early in Sunday's game, finishing with just nine points on 4-of-16 shooting.
"I still got some looks, but didn't really have the explosiveness," Roy said. The good news is that he kept playing and this doesn't sound like it will cost him any games. It is however a stark reminder that his knee is one awkward move away from serious damage.

good god now SA beat writers are giving medical opinions on roys knee.

Yep. Roy is going to blame all bad games on his knee, and have Nate sit him the entire 4th quarter as the team fumblefucks around trying to get a basket.

Wait. I thought Nate is calling the shots. Was it Nate's idea to have Roy sit the entire 4th, and then blame it on Roy's knee? I get so confused with all of your scapegoating these days.

if cho would fucking fix this horrific bench with a few trades..... "roy tweaking his knee" wouldn't even be mentioned. its all because we struggled on offense AGAIN cause the bench cant score..... which magnifies starters bad games like tonight.

fix the bench and we will be fine. not fixing the bench means 100% lottery

He landed wrong coming down with an offensive rebound.

Roy is now like a young player with potential. Maybe he'll be better by later in the season. Maybe he'll learn by then how to play differently.

Maybe he and McMillan will understand his limitations, how to lessen his role in the plays, and which if any plays work with him playing a major role.

Naaaah, don't bother. More likely is---no need to learn anything, since by late in the season, his season will have long since ended. We should assume we'll be without Roy by that time, including playoffs, if by some miracle we find ourselves there.

The guy can barely run. My knees are better than his at age 36 and at over 300 lbs. Not to mention that I kneel on concrete floors every day while doing my job.

If he wants to keep playing in the future he is going to have to have some kind of surgery, some genius doctor can figure something out. If not, he needs to retire and keep away from the medication to save his organs.

On a side note, anyone see T-Mac get an alley oop the other day?

Listen Shaq, you really don't have to respect Garnett like that.

Nate has more say than any other coach in the league, unless that coach is a coach/GM. We all know Roy runs the team in practice and on the floor in general

Isn't that what they said Oden did a week before he had microfracture surgery?

Not sure if I can really take the team's (or the player's) opinion at face value these days.

Nate is so far inside your head. A coach on an expiring contract who reportedly asked for an extension, yet was rejected by the team, has more power than any other coach in the league. I'm sure it was Nate's idea to fire his assistants as well after last season?

Nate also "reportedly said" that he will only sign 1 years contracts from here out. The same two reporters both reported that.

I admire that in Nate actually. He wants to earn his keep. He is a hard worker and determined. And probably stubborn as well.

I just find your line of thought that Nate, who is on an expiring contract, is "calling the shots". It makes no sense to me, and considering your obvious bias against the guy, I don't believe your "source" knows what the fuck he is talking about. Common sense has to prevail at some point, doesn't it? I mean, I know you have an irrational hatred for Nate, but the problem is it seems to be clouding basic logic for you.

I think he wants the hell out of of this crazy organization at some point, and doesn't want to be tied to a contract. Let's not forget that Hat Guy was working out Oden this summer at the practice facility. His expertise in rehabbing major injuries obviously paid off for Oden's health.

This is what I am most worried about this season, and I know several of us have mentioned this before. Teams need some sort of consistency in order to ever get some sort of semblence of chemistry going. If Roy is going to go into and out of the lineup over and over again, it will hurt the teams ability to ever form into a consistent unit.
