You make no sense, as usual. My post was about Nate, who was rejected on an extension, calling the shots. I KNOW Cho is a puppet. His biggest job at this point seems to be finding good deals for catered lunches while they all pour over advanced computer statistics and relay the information to Hat Guy. I also never said that Nate wanted Bayless to stay. Ever. I never even insinuated it. I'd say I am surprised that you could derive that out of my post, but I can't, since I never know what the fuck you're trying to communicate.
I'm not sure if Quick reported it, but I know Canzano said it on his show that Nate had wanted an extension over the summer, but Vulcan and Allen rejected it and told him to wait until this coming summer. Take it for what it's worth, as it's coming from the Bald One, but he didn't sound like he was making it up.
Ignore my message, I post only to display my cool signature. This week you rate the first two. http://sportstwo.com/threads/175506...er-Over-Nate?p=2489691&viewfull=1#post2489691
I think Quick may have reported it on BFT, and then Canzano used that information in a subsequent manner. Either way, we both heard it, and it does make sense. More than "Nate is calling the shots", which I find laughable considering his is on an expiring contract.
Not sure what all the hub-ub is about. I told people on here when Bayless got traded to Toronto he was going to flourish. He has a chance to play in a free-flowing offense that really works well with his talent. I think it pretty clear that he wasn't going to play like he is now in Portland, or hell, even New Orleans. That said, we made a trade. I knew NO's record was an aberration, that team has no depth whatsoever. Every week that pick is looking better and better and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the playoffs. A pick in the lottery for a player who wasn't going to be utilized correctly in our system sounds about right.
I said it makes more sense than a coach on an expiring contract "calling the shots", not that I believe Quick's take as any sort of "gospel", whatever that means.
I read some of the comments from Tor fans in that games thread on their board, even with the win many were not excited about what they saw from Bayless.
Bayless had a GameScore of 28.4 yesterday. If Toronto fans aren't excited about that performance, then I have to assume that they are basketball idiots. He scored 31 points on 12 FGA and added 5 rebounds and 7 assists.
according to them his sloppy play earlier was in large part responsible for the big deficit - how many times are bayless and barbosa going to be able to do that?
Well, to be fair, every star player that has been on that team has either quit on them, demanded to be traded, or left via free agency in their prime. Damon Stoudamire. Tracy McGrady. Vince Carter. Chris Bosh. And we think our team has problems...
Good point. After being bailed on so frequently, they probably subconsciously don't want to get too attached to any player, only to see him leave. Kind of like we Blazer fans will soon be, except instead of players leaving, it will be players having catastrophic and career-altering injuries just when they reach star level.
Rudy has lit up the preseason every year he has been in Portland. It just appears as though he fades when the regular season starts. A disturbing trend for sure.
