"When Andy Sutton was called into Ducks coach Randy Carlyle's office before a game against Edmonton earlier this week, he knew Carlyle didn't want to chat about current events. Sutton knows he has struggled lately, and it wasn't surprising to hear Carlyle target areas of improvement. Nor was it surprising to Sutton that he was scratched from Friday's lineup. "I haven't really been on my game," Sutton said. "I've been fighting it a bit off and on. I'm trying to find my game and I've been grinding a bit. "It's not for lack of trying. I think sometimes you're almost trying too hard. I've been pretty hard on myself. Sometimes it's a bit of a snowball effect and I just have to clear my mind and reboot the computer and conceptualize what it is that I need to bring." Carlyle has been concerned about Sutton's puck control down low and said that, "He has to be a guy that's going to take the puck and make a play with it vs. just slapping it around." He would also like to see the 6-foot-6, 245-pound Sutton use his body instead of his stick to make those plays. Sutton has taken slashing, interference and hooking penalties in his past three games. "We expect him to be a force on our blue line but he's got to continue to improve in puck skills," Carlyle said. "That's a big issue for us.""
