Ducks Owner Attempting To Move Blazers To Anaheim 9th June, 2006 - 9:11 am Los Angeles Times - Mighty Ducks owner Henry Samueli is exploring the possibility of buying the Portland Trail Blazers , for sale at about $300 million, and moving them to Anaheim, where they would play their games at the Pond. Paul Allen made it clear in April that his plan is to sell off the Blazers. "We are certainly aware of the recent news out of Portland," Pond President Tim Ryan said. "It is something we are following very closely." [READ] Is this or another move reasonable, I know it's a huge market there but come on...5 teams in one state?
This is absolutely not necessary, I would much rather see at permanent team in Oklahoma City which has proven they are capable and willing to support an NBA team. California does not need another team.
Lmfao no, definetely not. It's bad enough that California has 4 and Texas has 3 it would be ridiculous if California had 5!
NO, like said before, OKC needs the next team...they've gone out and proven they'd support a team, even if they knew they weren't going to keep the Hornets.
No way. California does not need 5 teams at all! I mean they already have 4, which 3 of them are playoff teams. 2 in LA, 1 in Sac-Town, and 1 in Oakland. No need for one in Anaheim. I think either Oklahoma City or Las Vegas need a team way more. But I will say this, the Trail Blazers organization needs to get out of Portland, get rid of ALL the trouble makers and people that don't work hard, and completely rebuild with youth. They have such a bad rap, and it's not necessarily undeserved. Then I find out about another Randolph incodent with the police involving weed and guns. But back on topic, no way Cali should get the Blazers too. Move them to Oklahoma City or Vegas.
No way, beating crappy California teams has been fun, but that's just way too much for 1 state. I wish Portland wouldn't have to move. They had a pretty good thing going there for 15 years. I would hate for the fans to lose that team. Oklahoma is a state that does deserve a team, not California.
I really wouldn't care. The Blazers need to revamp in every way, and if this is the way they start, so be it
Pretty stupid because you would have to switch the Blazers to the Pacific division, and take out the Phoenix Suns and put them in a differen't division. Might as well call it the California Division.Actually thinking about it , aren't the Sacramento Kings moving to Las Vegas?

But if any city deserves a team it should be New orleans. b/c i want the hornets to stay in OKC
what?lol wow we certainly dont need another team in california but if they move here then another team should move somewhere else,do you know what I mean?I still say the blazers should move to vegas or move the clippers to vegas w/e works.I read some1 say the kings are going to move to vegas which is ridiculous for sacramento.Sac-Town deserves a ball club but then again so does portland. But the fact of the matter is the blazers just want a fresh start off of their horrible season and troubles ever since the rasheed wallace era.So if they move portland to Anehiem fine...i can go to clipper, lakers and blazer games cuz im not driving to oakland lol(i live about an hour from anehiem and 10 min from LA.so my conclusion is move the blazers to vegas and not anehiem!!
*shrug* I don't think anyone would say California needs another team, but they probably could support it. The MLB has 5 teams in Cali, so it's not that ridiculous.
I don't think that California needs any more teams. They already have enough. Besides, right now, Oklahoma City needs a new team and they have proven that they can support a team. So the NBA should either move the Blazers to Oklahoma City or create an expansion team for them because they truly deserve one.
Ok, i agree with everyone else and believe that Cali doesnt need another team. I think if the Blazers relocate, they need to stay in that area. I think the only city big enough to have a NBA team would be Las Vegas or Vancouver, and we all know what happened in Vancouver, so that leaves Las Vegas for me. I dont think Oklahoma City is a good choice for the Blazers because i truely believe that the Hornets will be there for a while. I really wish there was a large metroplex area in Nebraska, Kansas, Idaho, or Wyoming. I think thats the only area in the States that doesnt have a team to root for, but consiquensely, they dont have enough ppl to support one.
No, definitely not. The right move would be having a franchise in Kansas, Oklahoma City, or in Vegas. But not in California...too many teams.
The reprsentatives at the Oklahoma City Hornets game yesterday said that they are the next destination for any team that will be moved into the NBA. They are next on the waiting list. You could be looking at the Oklahoma City Blazers before you know it.

My dad's cousin lives in Anaheim. If the Trailblazers do move to Anaheim, I can go there when there is a homegame against a great team, like the Suns or (my favorite team) Nets, and enjoy the game. I only live about an hour away from Anaheim anyway.
I don't think there should be another team in Cali. They have enough already, and can only generate so many basketball fans that it would be worthless for the franchise, and would probably see more profit in Portland than Anaheim.
