I thought I read Bridgewater is pretty much a Louisville commit with his WR teammate. Would love to have him though.

btw... I really enjoyed reading the comments following the Seattle Times article I linked.

it's particularly funny to see them hating on the realist Husky fans (like Bomberboy) in their chat community... check the thumbs up/down ratings posters give each other.

    my favorite post...
Look, right now the Ducks are kicking everyones butt, they are about to play in the national title game and are projected to be 5th ranked next year, and that is after losing a good amount of players. I hate this as much as the other Dawg, but that tells me that it will be a few years before anyone takes them down. Unless we can figure out there system and finally stop that Damn offense. Why would a young great studd not want to go there and possibly play for Rose and National titles his whole career. I really hate this, I do, but who is going to knock the Ducks off in the next couple of years? Try to think like a young 17 Y/O can not blame a kid for going to the Ducks. Like I said it though I hate it. I pray that the Dawgs will beat those Quacks every year.

Re: Todd Barr commits to Cal

Not really a huge surprise, is it? I thought he was a huge Cal guy all along, and the major upset would have been him going to Oregon.

I also hate to bring this up again, but Oregon lost out on another kid who will get to play in LA every year. I think this is going to be a huge obstacle

Just goes to show you can have a shitty team and still pull big recruits.

no, not a surprise. He just jumped out on film to me so I'd hoped for him to sign on :smiley-grom:

yes you did say the same exact thing two days ago... are you going to say this every time a California kid signs with a California school? The Ducks won't be playing in the state of Arizona every year yet somehow they've got 3 new recruits from there. There aren't any games on the schedule in Hawaii, Texas, Florida & Iowa...

The Eugene small town college experience isn't for everyone, and this is probably especially so for big city kids from nearly 1000 miles away. I'd agree that the Pac-12 scheduling games the way they have doesn't help Oregon's cause recruiting in SoCal, but how much it hurts is certainly nothing that we can accurately gauge.

another non-surprise... Jason Gibson to Cal

Ducks were the bridesmaid to Cal again but weak side DE is not a position that I'm all that concerned with.

    Avery Walls announces tomorrow...

Seems like every year that Cal is our main recruiting competition.

they've certainly enjoyed an inside track for most SoCal and Bay Area kids... which is why it's such a good thing Oregon has gone national with their recruiting.

LA is roughly 850 miles from Eugene... thats not a drive the folks (or family/friends) will go there and back to see their son play over a weekend.

Justin Hopkins on Duckterritory is calling Avery Walls to Cal also. So don't be surprised if he goes there.

Avery Walls to Cal... unbelievable run they're on

safety isn't a real position of need, but this one hurts in the sense Oregon seemed to be the favorite... Tosh Lapoi again is credited with bonding with a prospect over XBox

I'm really starting to hate Cal more and more. Especially after the injury faking incident.
