    The Tigers released right-handed pitcher Alfredo Figaro after his contract was sold to the Oriz Buffaloes in the Japanese Baseball League, the team announced Tuesday.

    Figaro made eight appearances with the Tigers last season, going 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA. He was 10-6 with a 4.14 ERA in 23 starts with Triple A Toledo
