Yea there has been some talk Charlotte actually is front runner for Carmello, and Wallace would be the piece to bring him in. At least rumored.
Bayless off to a good start against Charlotte on the road. 5 points/4 assists/1 steal in the first quarter. Raps up 29-20.
Fucking Cho/Nate. Getting rid of Bayless was stupid. Maybe I don't want Cho to make anymore trades? Keep evaluating and analyzing please
I just can't believe the team deliberately killed their bench like that. Makes no sense to give up on an young inexperienced player for an even younger inexperienced player that's not as talented as the guy before. Jesus, WTF!
Bayless 11points/6 assists at halftime. Team of crappy players up 6 on the road against future Blazer coach Larry Brown.
Somebody needs to explain the rationale behind trading Bayless. Was it a forced thing? If so, why trade Bayless, but not trade Rudy? Does Cho have any idea what he is doing at this point?
I think the team put too much stock into Armon playing so well in the preseason. In their minds he probably beat out Jerryd for the spot, plain and simple. It's as if they forgot Jerryd just averaged 14/4 in the playoffs and Armon is a rookie that was selected in the 2nd round. Complete failure of a move.
It makes no sense, though. The one thing we know about Cho is that he is very deliberate. I have to think that somebody forced him into that trade, and Cho lacked the authority to say no. How much money did Paul Allen spend to buy the Armon Johnson pick?
I know people don't like or want to hear about "sources", but I was told by two different people that Nate wanted Bayless traded because he didn't play the way Nate wanted. It was also reported in the media that Nate had Armon Johnson ahead of Bayless on the depth chart.
I was just talking about his avatar. It was my frozen video from our broadcast. But you are correct...... I was way wrong about him as a player. He has played way above my expectations.
We don't know the front office's rationale. The reasoning put forth by fans seems to be that he was a scorer and not a pure point guard, so with Roy at the 2, he'd never fit and therefore was worthless to the Blazers. I find that pretty faulty logic for trading away a talented young player under team control for another few seasons, so I hope that isn't actually the reason.
I hope that Bayless' team doesn't lose this game making every stat he collected absolutely meaningless...
