Thanks. I thought it might be 2 . . . both involving Bayless (which would have been wierd)

Terrence Williams of the Nets to the Rockets, Sasha from the lakers to the Nets, Joe smith from nets to lakers, picks from rockets and lakers to nets.

2nd trade is some scrub from houston to sacramento for a draft pick or a donkey or something.

Good grief. He just got the league office to approve the Disabled Player Exception and has until Dec. 30th to use it. Tomorrow's the first day that players signed last summer can be included in a trade. I know reality bites at times, but it seems like we might give the guy a week or so.

    Agreed.

I put "approve" because I'd rather give a GM a chance to fail before I disapprove, and one deal is not enough for him to be a failure to me just yet.

I selected approve because it seems as if bayless had asked for a trade, from a few reports. And really, what's the going rate for a combo guard who has proven nothing around the league? N.O. started off better than most thought, so it looked bad. Now they've lost I think 9 of 12, so it looks better. Everyone assumed they'd be right around 7th, 8th seed ish, right out of the playoffs. Basically, a mid first for a player who didn't want to be here any more. I hate the guy's writing, but saw a quote or tweet from Bill Simmons that I thought summed up his situation best, after being traded to Toronto, that he achieved his best case scenario, of being a good player on a bad team.

I don't know how anyone at all can see waiivng Pendergraph was a bad move. I'd love to see any justification for that being dumb. I didn't mind the Oberto signing. Hate the Marks signing, but whatever. Didn't care for keeping Mills, but I know that was Allen's decision. So we'll see what he does from here on.

Bayless was traded before the start of the regular season. The two deals agreed discussed today can't be finalized until tomorrow.

To stir the pot, Bayless had 17 points and 9 assts today against Charlotte.

Would you rather be in Jack's position or Bayless? Bayless gets ton more minutes but what appears to be a very bad team. Jack got a lot less minutes with the trade but to a potential playoff team.

Nope. He was traded from us to N.O. at that time. He played for N.O. Now he is on toronto. And Jarret Jack, who was on Toronto, is now on N.O.

Oops, you're right of course. I wonder why it's not listed on the NBA's transactions page.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Being a "good player on a bad team" is actually a great achievement for a 22 year old. The idea of him not currently leading a great team being a black mark against him is silly, IMO. Yes, he's inconsistent so wouldn't be playing a lot of minutes for a top team...inconsistently very good at the NBA level is still impressive at his age.

I don't think I, or he, meant to say because he is not leading a great team, it is a black mark on his young career. It's to say he looks like the type of player who will be a good player on a bad team. And now he is in a situation to be just that.

He's by far hurt the team more than he has helped it.

Well I know for a fact that Jerryd appeared in something like 11 games for the Hornets and now he's been in something like 10 for the Raptors ... your sources are wrong.
