Bayless with 17/9. That would be nice to have off the bench, or in the starting lineup. Favors is another guy I think will be way better than LA by next season
Bayless played well for the most part, but I wouldn't pimp him too hard tonight. He missed some open shots, and had two horrible turnovers when TOR was desperately in need of a hoop. Good player, but still not ready for big minutes.
Sonny Weems Jerryd Bayless Amir Johnson Andrea Bargnani DeMar DeRozen This is Toronto's starting line-up.
Then he'd be a waste on this much less than 50 win team. Might as well trade him for a potential top 15 pick.
Not at all. He's proving, so far, to be a pretty solid starter for a "much less than 50 win team." We could use a good young starting quality player. And maybe he'll improve as he approaches his prime.
I disagree. Having nothing in current value in return for a productive and young player isn't a good trade, IMO. That trade has hurt the Blazers this season, as I see it.
When trading for draft picks I think its rational to wait until we see what that draft pick turns into before writing a trade off as either good, or bad. Is that unreasonable?
I said the trade has hurt the Blazers this season, didn't I? Please correct me if I'm wrong in how I wrote my opinion on the current effect of the Bayless for ??? trade.
Honestly, who really gives a shit about this season? We aren't going anywhere. Never really were without a healthy Oden. You think pretty highly of Bayless if you think he's going to elevate us into the playoffs.
I give a shit about this season, and gave a shit at the time. However, I didn't mind the trade then, and don't now.
I do. I'm guessing most fans do that pay to see the team on either TV or at the RG. I'll guess that the players, coaches, management, and ownership care as well. Bayless is better than nothing, which is what the team has right now off of the bench in terms of a PG, shoot-first or pass-first.
Unless were going to make the playoffs. Its all moot. I'll take a future pick over a stop gap, shoot first PG anyday. You think he's that much of a difference maker huh?
I think it was a bad trade for this season's team, and likely for the future. You don't, obviously. Oh well.
I can only assume Minnesota will drop there investigation into Websters back since he now has more points, rebounds and assists than Babbitt in 1 game.
