http://www.realgm.net/src_wiretap_a...bulls_nuggets_discussing_trade_for_jr_smith/# He should have been a Bull all along.
You beat me to it. The front office must be listening to the loyal fan base. We are a decent SG away from being real contenders. J.R.Smith could be that guy as long as we do not give away the farm to get him. He is an expiring contract as well. $6 million contract makes it so we do not have to give away the farm to get him. He can be hard to handle, but this team is not impressionable youth any longer. Bogans + Johnson + Thomas (possibly with a pick) works. I dont see us trading brewer or korver. His offense will spread the floor even more! He is averaging just over 11 a game. Shoots just 40% but shoots 43% in threes with 79 attempts so far this season. He is averaging 4 boards, 1.8 assists and 1.14 steals a game. He plays 22.5 minutes a game
The downside is he's a headcase. It takes a good coach to be able to deal with guys like him and get value out of his PT. Thibs is the man.
Chris Ballard on JR Smith: Had more than one GM/scout tell me JR's probably the best athlete in the NBA. One of rare few who could win 3pt shootout and dunk contest http://twitter.com/#!/SI_ChrisBallard/status/17334083201794048 However, he mentioned before that Tweet that JR has played almost 600 minutes this season and does not have a single block
Good to see Gar doin research on Smith. If he'd love to be wit the team, maybe he'd get his act together? Plus I dont think Thibs would take any of his shit anyway.
Arn Tellem represents JR Smith. I'm sure this is Tellem leaking the Bulls have interest to get some buzz generated for Smith, as he has done in the past many, many times. I'm still calling BS on the Bulls having legitimate interest.
I dont think we'll trade Thomas. I mean yea we could go sign another big but Kurt is pretty serviceable. Excellent stripping ability and nice mid range game
I hope that's not how the front off thinks. The Bulls have a chance at a championship this year, but it's so remote that you have to make moves if they make you better in the long term. Kurt Thomas is not going to be on the team when/if the Bulls ever become alpha contenders.
This is true, but idk how the team will be with a think front line and perimeter players. We'll go from Utah East to Orlando MidWest.
