Quick never said it was major news, though. Seems like Lund oversold a rather innocuous text he received from Quick. So, he's actually not to blame for this one.
"I'm sorry I said you're all holding me back... I mean, I still believe it... you're all nothing more than obstacles to me... but I really should have kept it to myself. What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
More like 95.5 needed some listeners in the 12:00 - 1:00 hour. I'm with BGrantFan; it's not Quick's fault that Lund decided the station could use some more breathless listeners for an hour during his shitty-ass show.
The biggest news to me is how shitty the locker room atmosphere is now compared to the Martell/Blake/Outlaw/Roy/LMA/Przy days, at least according to Quick.
Pretty much what I was thinking as well. "Hey Andre, I still think you're a fucking turtle on the court, except the turtle probably has a better jumper, but I promise that I'll try really really hard not to tell Jason Quick about it! We cool?"
The one think Quick said that was meaningful is that the team still wants to try and acquire players to fit Brandon's style. To me that makes no sense because Brandon isn't a player you can or should build around at this point.
That put him above Woodward and Bernstein, or perhaps even Mike Wallace, in my estimation. Quicker deserved a Pulitzer for that brilliant foray into investigative journalism. 60 Minutes couldn't do it any better...
Oh goodie. As a reward for tuning into 95.5 for the not-so-major news, I now get treated to the Blazer Blue Skies Report with Mike Barrett!
Quick sent Lund a text to say he wanted to be on the show today. Lund took it as major news, sold it as such, but Quick never said it was major. Roy apologized to the team for his comments after the Memphis game. That's all folks. I'm glad Roy apologized, though. It's encouraging news.
