Unsolicited advice, believe it or not, as per Heather Cox on ESPN, for Roy to adjust his game.

Roy is respected by other great players, yet not the real "Blazer" fans. I don't think this board of whiners deserved the guy.

Cool move by Timmy. Brandon keeps trying to play the same way, and he just physically can't.

Stating that Roy isn't what he used to be is so disrespectful

You are just too uber of a Blazer fan to post here. We are all obviously not in the same league of "Blazer fan" as you, I am in fact amazed as to how you attained such fanhood. Hell I should just go throw away all my Blazer shit right now, there is no way I can compete with that. I'll just go down, and become a fucking Timbers fan or something.

You're right...how could anyone criticize a guy who's been whining about teammates while playing at a level below Gilbert Arenas?

Here's a list of guys over the last ten years who've played like Roy is playing this season.

    (15 FGA/gm, 3+ APG, 3+ RPG, <40% FGA)
    3 Baron Davis's
    3 Gilbert Arenas
    2 Iverson's
    2 Antoine Walker's
    2 Jamal Crawford's
    2 Larry Hughes
and Tyreke Evans and Brandon Jennings this year.

Or, put another way, there hasn't been a single player (other than Roy) in the last 10 years who's averaged 15 shots a game, made 40% or less of them, and had less than 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Not one. If you bump it up to 43%, then he's in the august company of Latrell Sprewell and Kevin Martin.

I don't deserve a guy whose play is making Latrell Sprewell look good getting in front of the mike every night talking about his teammates' deficiencies.

BTW, I didn't hear Ms. Cox, but I wonder why it's "respectful" for Duncan to tell Roy to change his game, but when WE say it we don't deserve him and we don't know what we're talking about. :hm:

    No doubt.

I hate them, but all the players on that Spurs team are very respectable and classy. (except maybe TP for now)

    Gee, I dunno.

Perhaps because you, like the rest of us, have never even come close to playing or coaching in the NBA, let alone at an All-Star level. Duncan didn't tell Roy how to change his game, just how to cope with his knees. Did you even listen to the report by Cox?

I have to laugh at you.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Now that I'm done laughing at you, what advice, other than slamming Roy, do you have for the team?

So while I don't have all-star basketball talent, and haven't coached an NBA team, I still manage to come up with the same conclusion as an All-Star....and that makes me disrespectful and undeserving?

Perhaps it's just so obvious that even untalented, uneducated hacks like me can pick up on it. And when we mention it, those who are even less educated than us get mad? :dunno:

A PF/C changing their game due to physical limitations would be, IMO, quite easier than a Guard that has relied on more speed, explosiveness and agility. I commend Timmy for the phone call, but IMO, they're completely different situations.

Not pointing any fingers at anyone but I think the mock outrage at what other fans think is getting ridiculous.

Why are you dissing Spree? Spree was First Team All NBA in 1994. And reached the Finals in 99.

Sorry, I was comparing him to the late-model chucker Spree in Minny who couldn't feed his family with 14M.
