I still dont understand? A topic that was OT from the blazers was put in the blazers OT forum and it got moved because it COULD be in another form? So can we not talk about the NFL without going to the NFL forum?

He caught Henderson pretty flush but it was with just a small part of his foot, if Henderson stood just a bit more forward, we could have all seen the best KO ever. In the history of combat sports.

Also, just to clarify, technically it wasn't moved (stolen, it seems) from the Portland OT forum, it was merged with the existing thread on this forum.

You have to remember, this is the kind of comment that helped lead to the migration of Blazer fans from BBF to S2. Some of the mods there openly resented the fact that the Blazer forum attracted the most traffic. The intent behind the comment may have been inocent, but it is poking a raw nerve.

Yeah, this comment does no help at all, only harm. I don't understand what you think insulting us is going to accomplish. While I think people should visit othe forums to discuss other things, there is a Blazers OT forum, and it should be able to be used for anything not related to the Blazers.

agreed. Because ppl don't venture out of their own section of this site, it ends up creating a lot of double posts and IMO most sites want to avoid double posts or 2 converstations about the same topic going on. It dilutes the quality of conversation and can create confusion for newbies to the site.

nothing wrong with merging 2 similar topics at all.

Talk about the Yankees on the Yankees forum, is that crazy? I just never understood or supported the idea of an OT forum and OT threads that sap traffic from other parts of the site. Its fine when the stuff is clearly slanted towards the Blazers or when it is personal stuff from guys on the forum. Not when it is something totally unrelated that people want to talk about but are unwilling to leave the compound to discuss. We've closed more boards than we've created. This is something I've been railing against since BBF was BasketballBoards.net back in the day. I remember when the Nets posters all went over to NetsDaily and then just sort of washed away from there like teardrops in the rain after a while. The idea behind S2 is that it is a next generation sports community but sometimes I think it has been reduced to a chat room Portland boosters.

He picked up on something I said earlier on. I called Portland posters hermits. Not in a nasty way. It really isn't an insult when the topic at hand is Blazers posters being unwilling to spread themselves around the site. Really S2 doesn't matter to the majority of them. They just want to talk to each other wherever. Trying to encourage them to fill out the rest of the site seems like the right idea but it is one that really hasn't caught on despite the years ppl have been posting here.

Back to the root of this thread--

Duke Rufous says that Anthony Pettis' moves are inspired by Ong Bak. Called it!
