Who'd you rather have?I remember in my top 10 shooting gaurds that we all pretty much agreed that 1-3 was Kobe, T-Mac, and D-Wade, but after that it was different. I think the majority of the 4th best was either Ray Allen, Vince Carter, or Paul Pierce. So who is the best of the 3?
Paul Pierce. He can drive, play a little defense, shoot, score, rebound, lead a team, and he isn't a pansy or a prick like Vince Varter can be to teams..
^^^yea id have to agree with CB4 Paul Pierce all the way hes sort of like vince carter and ray allen put together except not as deadly from long range and not one of the best dunkers but more like in the middle of the two but with the way carter played in the playoffs for jersey vince carter is second behing paul pierce and in front of ray allen, dont get me wrong ray allen is a good player but not a player id build a team around like seattle is attempting to do
Just like in my top 10 SG's list: 3. Pierce 4. Carter 5. Allen Pierce is definitely #1. He can score in any way, shape or form, consistantly. He is a great leader and on top of that he's been to the Eastern Conference Finals (take it for what it's worth). But he is easily the best all around player of the 3.
just wait till hoopskid comes in here.. btw, this will basically be VC vs. Pierce, Ray Ray is lagging behind..well, i obviously take Paul Pierce. Not just bc i'm a Cs fan, but Pierce is clearly better. He is a more consistent and efficient scorer, he doesn't need to take 30 shots to score 30 points. I remember last year that out of the top 20 scorers, he took the second least fga's, second to Corey Maggette. He's been among the top of the list in fta's in like the past five years. He is a team player. He is an incredible rebounder. And he is one HELL of a leader. In my eyes, no comparison.
Pierce. He can do a lil bit of everything. He's also a very intense player who loves to show emotion and feelings. He's a very consistent scorer and a good rebounder. He has a bigger body than most of the other SG's which makes him get fouled alot, but often finishes the play as well.
Paul PierceDoesn't bi*ch like Vince, doesn't rely on athleticism to be extremely affective. Don't get me wrong Paul is a great athlete, but he's not going to win any dunk contests or anything like that. Pierce makes up with good range jump shots, clutchness, toughness, and his fakes are pretty much up there in the top 5 in the NBA. He has a complete game and will play his ass off every night. Vince is a great player, but he's had some injury plagued seasons and he had that whole incident in Toronto where he said he wasn't playing as hard as he could and he meant it with his career low statistics. And Ray Allen, I love Ray Allen, I think he's a great player with one of the best 3-point strokes in the game. But honestly, other than that, he doesn't do that much. He just seems like an incredible one demention player. He can be a deadly threat from anywhere on the floor, but if you put a great defender on him he can be stopped real easily. Not to mention if you put a great offensive guard against him, he can get torched up. He doesn't have a good defensive game.
Pierce. Vince is a great SG, but all around Pierce has a more solid, reliable and complete game than Vince.
PeirceHe is more of a complete package. Ray is the best shooter in the league, and VC one of the best dunkers. But Peirce can shoot and dunk well and can also do other things better than VC and Ray
Paul Pierce is the best overall player of the three. He can drive to the basket, and hit jumpers from all over the floor. He also loves to take over in late game situatuons, which is always a valuble thing to have in a player. He is also far and away the best defensive player of the three-some. Allen's defense has been questioned, and Vince Carters heart has been questioned, and Paul Pierce exhibits both every night he plays the game.
