that was the worst 2 minute drill ever. Running plays, dumb timeouts, no urgency... and then the last play, the whole team just stands there for 15 seconds because they're too stupid to figure out the situation on their own.

Uhm, do you really expect anything else out of MATT FLYNN? Fucking shit, he needed more practice to work a 2 minute. Thrilla if you really fucking think passing would be been better than you didn't watch and understand the QB aspect of this game. Matt Flynn threw away 23 seconds because he couldnt hear McCarthy. If you looked at Driver and Jennings, they were yelling at Flynn for a play/snap it and throw it. Flynn's little experience during practice and in game cost the game. The running game was the highlight of this game.

Flynn looked better than Rodgers at times. Rodgers holds the ball too long.

Flynn got sacked 5 times, doesn't seem like a great release either.

A lot of mobile QBs get sacked though.

Rodgers holds because he doesn't like interceptions..

Green Bay has nothing to be ashamed of. Just shows how important a backup QB is.

did you watch the game? Flynn was the one totally aware of the situation. McCarthy was telling him to spike it, and Flynn was motioning to him that he couldn't spike it because it was 4th down. He was shaking his head and holding up 4 fingers.

That didn't matter, anyway. The game was already lost by then. They had over 4 minutes to drive, they tried to get cute and try to score with no time left for Brady.

Blaming it on Flynn is weak. He was excellent. His only mistake was a pick he threw because some douche didn't finish his route.

btw, it wasn't a 2 minute drill, it was a 4 minute and 22 second drill.

also, not going for it on 4th and goal was so cowardly and dumb. That whole drive series of down with goal to go was garbage. McCarthy blew that game so badly.

Mkay, I didn't catch the commentary for the end. So I thought Flynn didn't know what McCarthy was saying. It looked like everyone on the field was calling for Flynn to do something.

Your implying that Flynn was the mastermind behind the Packers gameplan. It was more of a Patriots inability to study any footage of Flynn by the D. Then magically the Packers had a running game. I think that was the most rushing yards in the season for the Packers.

No where in that drive were the Packers trying to be cute. You don't watch the Packers enough to understand McCarthy's inability to call plays and his tendency to waste timeouts. The responsibility of the QB is to be the leader, if the coach is being a dumbass, hike the damn ball.

Just goes to show how much back-up QBs are used in practice.

The Packers running game was due to the Patriots having only 3 healthy defensive lineman, and they were missing a starting MLB. It was smart of McCarthy to exploit that. They made a conscious effort to run away from Wilfork and Mayo, and it worked. Gary Guyton missed about 10 tackles.

I can't believe you're even arguing about the last drive. 4 minutes 22 seconds on the clock, 2 TOs and a 2 minute warning... what did they do? They ran out of time? That's pathetic. The confusion on 4th down has nothing to do with it, either. They got cute because they tried to accomplish two things with that one drive, scoring a touchdown AND milking the clock down to nothing. Get the lead, THEN worry about stopping Brady.

I don't see how Flynn threw away the last drive.

He played brilliant for a guy making his first start, ever. Maybe you're expectations were too high? Or maybe you're upset that your team is overrated? Either way, IDK...I thought Flynn played a good game and did more than what was asked of him. Thrilla, agree or no?

Flynn played great. He looked better than Rodgers does most of the time.

If Rodgers was out there, the Pack would've been blown out.

Getting sacked and throwing random balls is better than not getting sacked and making completions? I never knew that...

Flynn had a higher QB rating in that game than Rodgers has this year, and the completion percentage is exactly the same.

And Rodgers has never taken a sack? Really?

The place you cited, uses AY/A not QB rating.

7.19 AY/A is decent, but Rodgers is at over 8.
