Discussion of a Przybilla for Redick swap from the Orlando Sentinel... http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_magic/2010/12/can-magic-afford-to-trade-j-j-redick.html Would you do it? Redick is a good shooter who has really seem to come on this year. Isn't that what this team needs good, young shooters? Whether Roy stays or not I think he would be a nice young piece to add to the team. http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile/666/jj_redick/ I doubt Rudy is coming back once his contract expires and it allows POR to deal him....I also doubt POR re-signs Joel in the offseason... Not an ideal trade, but I would do it. I honestly don't realistically see Przybilla fetching a better return than this.....
Sure why not. I'd probably wait to see if I could get more, but Joel looks like the two torn patellar tendons may have really taken something out of him. If this move was done I presume there would be a follow-up move to get some kind of forward-center. Maybe a Rudy for Anthony Randolph swap could be done?
No thanks. I like JJ Redick but Portland needs another wing player like they need another injury prone center.
This is Joel's last year on his contract and I don't think Cho will be in favor of bringing back a guy of Joel's age with his knee injuries. Plus, we still have Oden!!!
That depends on what other deals you have on the table. You will notice that when Orlando made deals the other day, they made 2, not 1 to get to where they wanted. If we could pull in Reddick but it allowed us to do something else to strengthen the team, it could work out.
Pretty much my train of thought. I hate the notion of Pryzbilla straight up for Reddick, but if say Rudy (or whomever) was moved immediately afterward for a big man, then it's fine.
Not a good move IMO. Not that it is uneven, and precious Prima Royya would get a shooter, but it's not the best value for Joel
