We went cold shooting wise and had some bad turnovers but I think Nate did a pretty horrible job on his end of the game with his substitution patterns. He pulled Batum for Matthews and left in Rudy at the 9 and change minute mark and kept him on the bench too long before getting him back in. Nothing surprising for Nate but he does not react quick enough on an opponent's run and takes our guys out when they are playing well. Bad loss
That and Golden State made the same adjustment to Miller that every team does that plays us a few times in a short span. They made him a jump shooter. Everybody always thinks Miller is great until some teams turns him into a jump shooter. Then not so much.
That's what I was wondering. In the 4th quarter we were getting beat on the boards with Camby on the bench. My company and I kept wondering aloud, "Why don't they put Marcus in?" We owned the boards for most of the game. If Marcus wasn't too hurt to play, then imo Nate lost this one. Playing small ball with GS plays right into their hands. Edit: Marcus did play the first 3:30 of the second half, but still not during the time we lost the game. Go Blazers
