The rumors around Cleveland going after him are getting louder. There are other sources stating this, and with Holmgren discussing offseason plans tomorrow, the picture will be far more clear. Getting him would automatically give Holmgren a 10. However, getting Jon Gruden would also include his man-crush on Brady Quinn, which also means a smaller chance of going after Sam Bradford (or a higher chance of getting Eric Berry?). Dear God, I realize I used up all my wishes from asking for Browns to return to Cleveland, but if you could just do this one more wish, i'll donate more money to charities.
With a loss tonight, this move seems inevitable. It's funny that with all thee talks the past 5 weeks of where Jon Gruden might go, the most obvious choice (Cleveland) was ignored. Check it: 1. He grew up in Cleveland and was born a fan 2. Great friends with Mike Holmgren, and worked under him for a number of years 3. Advised Holmgren to draft Colt McCoy (who now happens to be the starter) 4. Rob Ryan would probably stay as DC (unless he goes off to becoming a head coach) as he and Gruden are friends 5. He was BORN and RAISED a Browns fan. Very Important.
