Anyone else watching this new show on the History Channel? Has the same production quality as the TG UK version, and the presenters are pretty decent. Having a pro driver also adds to the quality. I watched some of it today. They were filling their cars with water. Seems entertaining enough, but I keep wanting to compare it to the UK version in my mind, even though I know its not fair. They just dont have the same dynamic chemistry as James, Hammond, and Clarkson IMO. I keep trying to give it a chance, even though I am holding it to unfair standards.
Instead of the host Adam ????? they were suppose to have Adam Carolla but he was filming another pilot that never made it to air. Too bad, Carolla is a big time car man, but the host Adam ???? is just a comedian and not a real car lover. I think that shows through, but it is still a decent show. If it is on, I will watch and enjoy, but I won't seek it out.
Ya the chemistry is missing, but it's still only 5 episodes in. I think it will get better. BTW, the UK version had a special out in the middle east today. Once I find a HQ link, I'll post it.
Unwatchable IMHO. I watched the season premiere but now I can sit through any of it unless they are driving cars. The writing is poor, the jokes are awful, and I don't trust any of their judgment when it actually comes to reviewing a vehicles performance. I love Top Gear UK though.

Not even close to the UK version. I tried watching one of the episodes and the hosts just don't have the charisma.

If you're gonna watch the Special, I recommend downloading the HD version. The camera work was stunning.

I still dont think I've laughed as hard ever at Top Gear as when they went through the South "Man Love Rules Ok" "Nascar is Rubbish" or something to that extent... that one was insane!
Seems like they cheaped-out on the hosts... the UK version is all about the hosts. Adam Ferrara sucks at life.
the perfect thing about the UK version at least.. is it just grabs your attention. I honestly dont give a crap about Fast cars, 4.7 liter v_Niners Turbo Twin Tech or any of that. But the show keeps me glued. Thats what is missing with this one, that energy that the UK 3 have.
the UK hosts have huge personalities and compliment each over really well. just about everyone has a fav one of the 4 - unlike the US version where everyone pretty much hates all 3. poor poor host selection.
