Possibly. But McGee doesn't seem like that type of kid. My guess is that McGee just needs to be under the right type of leadership. As for Blatche, the dude has always been a headcase. A headcase that can score, but a total headcase never the less. If getting Mcgee I would want to get him away from that type of influence.
I think if you get him into the right situation, it won't be as much of an issue. Who knows if Portland is the right place though?
Blatche is hurting a team that trying to rebuild its image in the post-Arenas era. He's locked up for 5 years so I can see their motivation to make a clean cut from him for salary relief and draft picks.
A town with more strip clubs than convenience stores would be perfect for a guy tempted by the club scene.
Just pointing out the dichotomy of fans saying young, somewhat inconsistent players on mediocre teams (like McGee) shouldn't be considered while thinking a player like Batum (who fits that description to a T) is considered untouchable by many.
The flaw here is considering the forum talk as aggregate of the multiple individual opinions. Were the individuals saying "who cares about McGee?!" the same individuals who said "I would never trade Batum!" ? The onus is on you to know. If it is so, then you have a statement to make. If not, I would invite you to sit down and shut up.
Am I the only one who is happy here with old and no talent? Isn't Sean Marks the reason you all watch basketball??
[citation needed] Who are these "many?" Can you link a post of someone saying that Batum is "untouchable?" The reality is that "many" people never said he should not be traded ever. What happened is that many people considered him a high-level young player with a high value in trade and people who think Batum is nothing special tried to mock that position by pretending people were saying he was untouchable.
Oh definitely... and whenever he gets up of the bench, I keep thinking of this song... They are, after all, a very entertaining part of any circus.
If Blatche is the answer the question must have been "How can Cho make this season much worse then it already is?". That kid is an absolute cancer.
This season maybe. He is also the reason Cho should be fired. That signing is one of the worst in Blazer history. They would have been better off bringing in a hobo then signing Marks.
I saw Canzano today out buying drinks for all the 6-10 hobos. If he can sign one, he'll have something new to get mad about.
Back to the original post about Camby wanting to stay in Portland. In a new article, George Karl names Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, and the young Camby as the most natural rebounders he can think of. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5968082
