I feel the same way that Love needs to have some good defenders around him, to make up for his defensive weakness, but he actually has good passing skills, so can create for others if he gets doubled. However, he doesn't get doubled a ton, which is why he's not a great #1 guy. He'd make a good second option.
He's a second option right now. Beasley is proving to be a legitimate #1 option on offense. Unfortunately for him, he has to try to cover players like LMA because his "All Star" #2 option can't defend his own shadow, let alone a decent post player. I actually feel bad for Beasley because he is literally the only player on that team worth trying to double-team on offense, and his Stat Beast Love can't defend anyone, forcing Beasley as a SF to try and defend the post.
I watch the games. I was at the game where Kevin Love had to be pulled from defending LMA in the first quarter. I suggest you watch the games, and stop looking at boxscores.
I was at the game where Milicic started at center. Anyhow, if Darko is the answer, then you're asking the wrong question. How many games have you seen live this season?
I've seen you bring up the switch from Love onto Camby instead of Aldridge a couple times. With Aldridge's length and Camby's generally ineffective offensive play, I think it only made sense. It happens all the time in the NBA. I've watched David West, Jeff Green, Boozer, Millsap and Scola get switched with players when guarding longer players all the time. Its kind of a weak point that I've seen you bring up multiple times.
The game when Darko got injured within the first 2 minutes of the game... Sure, he did 'start' though.
Ah. As I had thought. Darko's been pretty good, and without him the Wolves are very thin up-front. None. I also haven't done any skydiving. Who cares? Ed O.
The reason I bring up watch the game instead of boxscores, is because Beasley isn't double-teamed at all. He's careless with the rock, either takes the rock to the hoop, or settles for a jumpshot. Players with virtually no ability to score on the low block are almost always played straight up. Very rarely are the doubled. That, and Beasley is just as bad at defense as Love. You shouldn't feel sorry for him at all.
Neither is Love. Plus, Beasley has to play out of position on defense to make up for Love's ineptitude. With that, I never get tired of defending Blazer players against fanbois, and their newest favorite on another team, like you.
I never said you did claim it. LMA is now consistently double-teamed, however. Watch the games, and stop reying on boxscores.
Those stats account for Darko's shot blocking ability? Darko was brought up because you said Beasley has to cover players like LMA. heh.
I haven't been seeing these consistent double-teams on Aldridge. I'm also not really sure what Aldridge has to do with our little convo here. You're all over the place, bud.
