I haven't seen anyone give a shout out to Camby in any of these threads for his 20 rebound night. Plus 5 assts, 2 blks, 2 stls. All in a day's work playing hurt?

Mike & Mike talk about his importance so much during the games that I forget to praise him here.

When he went down the other day I thought it was going to be weeks before he made any contribution to the team. I am glad I was wrong. Camby killed the boards today.

But come on, Marcus, can't you score a few points once in a while, too? ;)

Seriously, it's a bizarrely balanced frontcourt - Camby defends the opposing team's better interior scorer (tonight, Jefferson), gobbles up boards, and basically uses as much energy as necessary on defense to keep teams from scoring. Tonight, he gets what? Four points, I think, and 20 boards.

Meantime, Aldridge races downcourt ahead of his man when the Blazers get the ball, then he establishes post position if he doesn't have it immediately, and finally he either draws double-teams and kicks out or else beats his single coverage in any number of ways... Tonight? 27 points, but not a ton in the boards or blocks department.

Camby is the key on defense; Aldridge on offense. Who's more important? Your answer probably says a lot about your philosophy of basketball.

I thought LMA played some really nice D tonight, it didn't manifest itself statistically but he was all over the place and did a great job of rotating and covering not only the weakside, but the perimeter as well.

Giving credit where it is due: Camby has been a great acquisition for this team, and one of KP's finer moves.

And this is the reason why LA does NOT rebound more then he probably should. There are NONE to have.

Yep. Hey- LaMarcus can rebound when necessary. Against Milwaukee/Bogut, Camby couldn't play, so LaMarcus grabbed 19 rebounds. That's just not necessary when Camby's on the floor.
