What basketball camps have you guys been to? For the past 2 years i have been to Sixers Camps.I'm going back there this year. And I'm also going to Five Star Camp also.
Im going to a basketball camp this summer at De La Salle High School one of the 3 best sports schools in California. They also one the California State Championship game this year against Clovis West. I live 15 minutes from the school. Im going to their shooting camp and Regular camp. This is a really good camp and you can learn a lot from it.Shouldn't this be in bball misc. though???

I went to All-Pro Basketball Camp for about 4, maybe 5 years. In that time I won best rebounder trophy (yea, when I was above average for my height haha), the championship trophy, and 2 "Best Playmaker" trophy's (back to back, my last 2 years in the camp). It was a lot of fun, and one of the coaches was Sean Connolly. He was a SG at Ohio State, and he started, and was a deadly shooter. I don't know if any of you remember him but he graduated a few years ago, maybe 3. But he got offers to play pro basketball in Europe and Italy, but turned them down because he didn't want to go that far, and out of country. He is still in shape though, and still plays in leagues. He is a very cool guy, he liked me lol, and he coaches varsity basketball for high school now. We also got guest speakers. Every year, NBA Assistant Coach Dick Harter (LMAO at his name. JK, great, great, great guy). He was an assistant for the Celtics and the Sixers when he was there, but he had also coached in Indiana, New York, I think Toronto, and maybe 2 more places (he coached Ewing, Miller, Pierce/Walker, Iverson, etc. The best of the best). He went with Jim O'Brien. But he is old, but an unbelivable person and he knows everything about the NBA. He is a great defensive guy as well. But what stood out to me, was that he told us and the kids at the camp NOT to look up to Allen Iverson haha. No joke. He said, and I quote: "Allen Iverson is a great guy, for about 2 hours a day. Those 2 hours are on the basketball court. The last 22 hours of the day he is a thug and a terrible roll model. Look up to your dad." Haha me and my friends lauged at that, and so did he, but then he said "Guys, it's funny and it gave us a laugh, but I'm not joking."
I'm going to the University of Texas camp for the second straight year in a few weeks. I've also been to Corpus Christie A&M and Rice camps.
I went to the Harlem Globetrotters camp one time. But this year, I am going to be going to my High School camp. We have the best High School teams in the state (I am a starter on the Freshmen team this summer, but might be bumped up to JV once the real season starts) so I imagine this camp should be really good.
I have been to the University of Kansas basketball camp and I am going to the Colorado School of Mines basketball camp on Monday.

It was awesome</div>Your so lucky. I wish I lived near a Sixers camp. Anyways has anyone been to Michael Jordan Camp in Santa Barbara. I went to it and I mean it was cool since you get to stay in a dorm at the college w/ your friends and meet michael jordan and get an autograph by him but I hated how I learned practically nothing from it. Its really more of just a fun camp. Plus its like $1000
At the CU camp, I stayed in the dorm and I got a total of 2 hours of sleep the whole camp. On the other hand, the KU dorms were nice and the beds where really comfy.

Do the players actually help you guys out? bc at the UT camp, just random hs coaches were our coaches, but most of the UT team did a scrimmage, then a dunk contest for an audience. And they signed autographs. It was actually amazing how good of a shooter Brad Boddicker was (SP?). And he still couldn't make the nba, WOW.

It was so big that only one day you got help from one KU player, and mine was some benchwarmer. But at the CU camp I got help from David Harrison. :yahoo:

People knock on "srubs" in the NBA and make fun of them, call them fat, say they suck, etc. When the reality is, if he lived near you and you played him at the local basketball courts, he would stomp on you and you would think he is awesome.

He wasnt saying he sucks at basketball or anything lol.
I'm going to the University of North Carolina camp. I'm meeting Roy Williams, UNC players, and Michael Jordan's children. They always go to the camp, or so I hear. Rumor has it Michael Jordan walks around sometimes
