We'll see if it has any effect on the injuries we've been dealing with...

Injuries are usually do to poor strength and conditioning or overwork. That's not Abdenour's job. Might as well overhaul the entire staff. I'd raid Phoenix's staff if you ask me though. They do a great job getting guys in peak shape.

lol this is the best addition by subtraction since maggette! it might end up being meaningless, but we've always been alarmingly injury-prone, and at least now I won't have to wonder if it's abdenour's fault.

Honestly, ever since the way Lee's elbow was handled, I've lost faith in Abdenour. Apparently, he did very little, if anything, to address Lee's elbow after the game. It wasn't until Lee went back to his hotel, went to bed, woke up at 4pm in searing pain like his arm was on fire (he described it as the worst pain of his life), did he finally get to the hospital for treatment.

The training staff should have been on Lee the moment the final buzzer sounded. He should have been given heavy treatment, and he should have been shot up with the most potent antibiotic cocktail they could find. Then, Lee should have been told to be on high alert, and to call Abdenour the moment he noticed redness/swelling/fever.

The final result was that, seriously, Lee could have lost his arm. It should have never gotten to that point, dammit.

Anyway, I'm very happy about this move. Why did Abdenour leave, anyway? I wonder if it was him, or the team? Did he bail, ala Stephen Silas, or did GS get rid of him?

Apparently hes going to be head athletic trainer at San Diego State. No word on whether he was fired or left on his own. You'd think he would wait out the end of the year if it was on his own though right?

He said he is sticking around until the Warriors are able to find a replacement. So, I don't think he was fired.
