Yea we all know the NBA bullshit schedule sucks. Just like how the Lakers start at home with a hug stretch every year, when everybody who watches NBA ball knows how important the start to a season is when establishing a teams identity. Hey great. You get to start out with the home crowd behind you every year and get a great start, while the small market teams get to go on the road and play a huge amount of back to back games from the start. Then amazingly enough when one team starts with a bad record, and the other starts with a good one, it's all about the talent on the team and not the marshmellow schedule they were handed to build their confidence.

Two issues I can see, though, are we have I believe to travel the furthest to get to play someone else. It sucks, but that's part of where we are at, and I think ties schedule makers hands somewhat. Same way Utah always has tons of back to backs, because of not wanting to play on Sundays.

As for the Lakers, while I can see the benefit of starting aq bunch of games at home, I'd personally rather struggle early in the season, and let guys take their lumps, and then, when they are getting used to eachother more, and games tighten up for the playoffs, we are at home more than on the road. I think that is abenefit. And sucks for the Lakers when there are tougher games to have to be on the road.

The curse of Jack Nies and the difference between a shooting foul, and on the floor. The guy looks like a punchable John Locke with hair.

I noticed that too, people get tired easily at high altitude so Denver should be the one place teams are NOT scheduled on the second of back to backs, yet it seems every year the Blazers get that schedule.

I'm telling you, we should move the Rose Garden to the top of Mt. Hood.
