I got an offer of $4800 for a ticket that I originally paid $300 for through back channels. 100 level, halfway up, 20 yard line on the visitor side, which I believe is the Oregon side. The guy is a Duck alum, so I'm going to get back to him in an hour. I'll meet him shortly thereafter in a public place to make the deal. I figure I'll still go to Glendale tomorrow afternoon, party for a few days , and then find an upper level ticket for <$1k on Monday, and I make a shitload of party money for the celebration! Thoughts? Seems like a no-brainer to me. My seat isn't by any of my friends' seats anyhow, and I figure I should still get into the game. Good idea? Bad idea? My wife thinks I'm crazy if I don't take the offer.
if its legit.. and you are still going to the game I wouldnt see why not... make a profit and go to the game.. Jesus I would do it lol
but you know what they say about something seeming too good to be true lol. Why is this dude offering so much for the ticket when he could get cheaper? Just cause the location?
It's a scam! You're going to wake up in some shitty hotel in a bathtub full of ice without your kidneys!
So wait, if you sell it are you still going to the game or just going to Glendale? Will you have a ticket or is this your only ticket? I'd take the money and use half of it to buy another ticket. 2k profit.
yeah I gathered from his plan he will sell this ticket for 4800 and says/thinks he can get another ticket for 1k. Even bigger profit if he can pull that off. Damn I'm just gonna buy early for tickets next year or something and resell unless its a Ducks one lol.
Sold! I do have a big of seller's remorse, though. I had the guy's name and Googled him prior to setting up the meeting. He was 100% legit. Even though I just made a crapload on the ticket, I feel a little bit less of a fan. That said, I'm sure I can get into the game for much less than what I just received! Still, to give up that ticket does sting a bit, but I'm in no position to turn down a $4500 profit on a ticket that I lucked into for $300 in the first place.
Feel no remorse. That's a lot of money, and making that much of a profit on something is almost as big of an accomplishment as the Ducks making the title game. Ed O.
I heard that Stubhub is paying $2500 400-level tickets back from people who bought from them for $600. The guy who bought from me said he heard it on The Game today.
dude dont feel bad at ALL. I am a HUGE Ducks fan.. and if someone offered me a 3k profit to move up higher... I would everytime
Nice work. That's a fair chunk of change and a good deal. Probably the easiest, non-sleeze way, you'll make that kind of fast cash. Now, for a fan like you, I suggest investing in BeanieBabies and vintage Barbies. J/K!! J/K!! Good luck making the game. Tickets prices have come down on Ebay.
With this deal, can you go to Glendale, party, stay at the hotel (or wherever), eat, go to the game, and get home and still make a profit out of it? If so, that would be excellent, no?
