Ummm us Aint's fans won the Superbowl last year. I can live with the 1st round exit. The Bears are going to chew up and spit out the grody Chickens next weekend.
Seattle is only good at home with the HCA. It was their only chance at winning in the playoffs and they never should have had that advantage over a team that was 11-5. They won, that's good for them, but it's still bullshit.
Meaning, if the Eagles beat the Packers, it'll be the Falcons who chew up and spit out the grody Chickens next weekend.
I'm pretty sure that Marshawn Lynch TD run is one of the most impressive runs I've ever seen in my life. Broke 8 tackles, and that stiff arm to Tracy Porter was epic, I'm pretty sure he threw a good 5 yards on that.
So is Seattle portlandish then? It seems like a decent place from afar, with some charming people. I've always liked their music scene as well.
Not a Seahawk fan. Love Lynch though, ever since he was at Cal. I can't decide whether I really care about this upset. I think I'm indifferent to it. Shocked as hell, though.
You didn't think it was piss poor tackling? Three or four of the guys who tried to tackle him in the secondary were just embarrassing. In fact, I didn't see one, good, hit on him throughout the whole run.
Sure, if you want to be like that, it's easy. Guy hits game winning HR - "that's just piss poor pitching". Guy hits game winning 3 pt shot - "that's just bad perimeter defense" Guy scores game winning goal - "that's just terrible goaltending" Nobody can ever do anything good, their opponents are just that bad.
Hey, I'm not saying it wasn't a great run.... but I think most of the "cool" is because it was the score that sealed the deal for Seattle. I think there have been plenty of other great runs that were equally impressive or better. Hell, Barry Sanders probably had three or four runs like that per season.
Pretty much every great run features a number of people who could have tackled the ball-carrier. If he goes untouched, it wasn't a great run because the ball-carrier didn't have to do anything (and, again, you could complain that it was terrible defense not to ever get in position to make a tackle). As with all great runs, it was a mix of defensive miscues and a great job by the running back.
