I haven't seen a lot of Bogans bashing, right? Is anyone really disappointed with what he has contributed? We're pissed that Thibodeau has elected to make him the starter instead of giving him spot minutes from the bench. I think he was certainly a good signing for the price tag, or would have been, if Thibodeau changed his starting lineup.
I ALWAYS hear or see something about bogans (hell theres a thread questioning why hes still starting). But I disagree with Kukoc saying Korver should be getting bashed too, because Kyle hasnt gotten alot of minutes where hes been able to really play. Hell if I played like 5-8 minutes and only took like 2 or 3 shots and missed majority of them Id look bad too if I was a key FA acquisition.
For a long stretch of games, Korver was playing Q4. End of games. That's a LOT of faith put in him by the coach. The offense we saw early in the season isn't getting him the same open shots, and he's horrible at getting his own.
I guess my point is bashing the decision to start Bogans is different then bashing Bogans. He's bad at basketball, but we all expected that.
Lmfao he isnt THAT bad sst. Remember, hes still an nba level player, he's just doing a good job at making the wide open 3s he gets. I dont hate him like others do, but I think we have other options on our team that are better than him that can be stop gaps til we acquire a better 2 via trade or FA.
He is that bad. He's got a PER of 6.9, and if he's out there for defense, he's not all that great at it. Having him out there means extra work for Rose, since Bogans' man is free to double team at will.
Except thY his numbers are based on taking 1-2 shots /game and matching up with the other teams best player every night. Nobody is going to look good in those circumstances. Brewer would look a lot worse and Korver would be a joke.
Well, Jackson would at most be a 1-2 year home run. Dude is ancient and not that great. To me, he's a fail from the getgo. Mayo would be the sort of guy I'd take a chance on too. I really don't know enough to come to a solid opinion on him yet. I'd like to know how nutty he is. On the other hand, I'd much prefer a guy like Melo, Iggy or KMart, who have demonstrated they can play at a higher level than Mayo has shown. I don't know if any of those guys will really be available by the deadline, or maybe someone else would crop up, but I don't see a downside to waiting another month. For that matter, I could wait for the offseason or beyond if I think the price for Mayo or anyone is too steep, and go with Brewer and Korver. Yes, it would lessen our odds this year, but I'd guess we could probably pick up a warm body of some sort for less than the guys we've got who are actual assets.
