I was surprised. I thought it was going to be The Rock. I thought it was a little early to have HBK in the HoF. But He is older then Rock and he has been around longer.

Me too, I thought it was going to be The Rock.

I thought HBK would return soon full-time...

He isn't going to return. He retired. When the crowd was yelling "One more match" HBK just shook his head no. The guy wants to be there for his kids. He wants to watch them grow. You only get one life and he is living it the way he wants.

I agree. That was one hell of a kick. I also enjoyed the CM Punk part when he said he was going to jump.

I actually thought it was going to be The Rock too, but it makes sense that it was HBK, since he is arguably the greatest of all time, as the King said. The Rock, while he was great, didn't have a long enough career to be in that category.

I wouldn't say 'arguably.' While he's definitely up in that list, I would consider Stone Cold, The Rock, or HHH over him any day.

I saw this coming the moment he retired.

Although I have to admit that I was expecting The Rock to be inducted before him but whatever lol.

He has been there longer afterall.

HBK deserves it. The Boy toy had a hell of a career despite a serious injury he had several years ago.

The Rock needs to be in there sometime soon.

I'd put The Rock and Stone Cold over hbk, but not Triple H.

Rock and Steve Austin were the greatest face-and-heel (constantly switching) rivalry ever

As far as favoritism goes I to would put The Rock and Stone Cold over HBK because lets face it they are both 2 of the best wrestling entertainers EVER and both are very good on the mike not to mention they are 2 of the best croud workers ever when it comes to getting a reaction out of the fans.

But HBK has been doing this longer then those 2 and has had a long list of spectacular matches and its pretty much a given that he would eventually get this honor.

I think you guys underestimate how good Michaels was. I loved The Rock (arguably my favorite wrestler of all time) and Stone Cold, but I would put Michaels ahead of both of them. He might not have been as good on the mic as either of them, but he was one of the best in ring performers of all time, and he's had more epic, memorable matches than basically anyone that I can think of. His two matches with Taker at Wrestlemania, the Iron Man match vs. Bret, the ladder match with Razor Ramon, the first ever HIAC match against Taker...the list goes on. If he's not the best in ring guy of all time, he's definitely up there, and I'd put him ahead of both Stone Cold and The Rock (though it's really, really, REALLY close).

Its not that i underistamate how great he is its just that The Rock and Stone Cold where better entertainers in my honest opinion. They knew how to get a reaction out of the croud and build a HUGE fanbase because of it.

But as I said Shawn Michaels has been doing this longer and is mostly likely the better wrestler but not the better entertainer in my honest opinion.

And yea his matches with Undertaker are trully epic and instant classic which is one of the reasons i like Shawn Michaels. He really knows how to make a match spectacular which is evident in those matches.

Triple H has had some spectacular matches. As well as Jericho, and especially Edge. I think it's only a matter of time before Undertaker gets inducted. It's actually hard to believe he's still around after all these years.

I fully understand where you're coming from, and that's why I put those guys in a VERY close second place. Really, it's comparing apples to oranges, and you can't go wrong with any of the three.
