I'm going to mention two more names. The Late Sammy Davis, Jr. and Betty White.

I think that's a little unfair. Tony Allen has actually been playing some decent ball as of late. He's a high energy guy and we could use him off the bench. I don't think he's the answer to the Bulls' search for a permanent starting two guard, but he's definitely an upgrade.

I don't see the point in acquiring someone who's better than Bogans, but is not better than Korver or Brewer.

We can upgrade Bogans now by simply not playing him and playing the other guys more.

Maybe those guys have a slight advantage in that they're more well rounded than Brewer and Korver, so they never impose a huge weakness on the rest of the team when they're out there, but that advantage is pretty miniscule if it exists at all.

Yeah, I think that's fair. I look at Allen's level of production as being relatively comparable to Brewer. He can handle the ball a little better though, and may be able to play point guard. I'm not sure it's a great fit though -- if your problem with CJ Watson is that he doesn't handle and distribute well enough to play point, then I don't see why you bring in Allen to provide additional minutes at the position.
