Charlotte talking about trading him for Cleveland's trade exception, but cleveland also wants a draft pick.

How about Babbit plus Przbilla for Wallace and we ask for a draft pick back?

Or Przbilla plus Rudy plus Armon Johnson (no pick) for Wallace.

I know we already have a SF but we got a horrible 2nd unit and it seems he could play better PF than Dante, must be some way to give him 35 minutes a game.

I though about that but CLE has that 14 mil TPE and that's way better then an expiring as they get immediate Wallace salary relief for this year. Przy/Babbit or Przy/pick would be a no brainer. Play Wallace half the time at PF with LMA at C.

I think Babbit may actually have negative value right now. Same with Armon.

Still, if we could trade Batum for Devin Harris and then swing a 2nd deal for Wallace, that would be a home run for Cho.

That's a good point, i guess we wouldn't ask for a draft pick back. But the trades without the pick seem fair. I really think we could find room for him and keep the team competitive. I noticed his three point % has improved; he actually has a better % then Rudy this year and last year.

I'm pretty sure the trade exception can only be used to acquire a single player and can't be combined in a deal for a player and picks, etc.

Likely Cleveland is asking for a 2nd deal to be made that includes the pick.

    Correct me if I'm wrong...

Trading for wallace and giving up nothing will take our sweet smelling GM and the vulcans until next year to analyze

Those are pretty damned good deals in combination. I'd be happy.

Harris/Matthews/Crash/Aldridge/Camby can rebound, score, and get stops. In other words, they can win in the playoffs. Make the deals, please.

TOTALLY agree. The one thing that team is really, REALLY lacking is perimeter shooting, and that might hold them back in the playoffs.

Getting Wallace without giving up a starter would be a gigantic coup for the Blazers. Hell, they can have any of our draft picks. I don't see how we could possibly compete with a $14mil TPE however.

Matthews can hit the three. Don't need all 5 guys to shoot it. Rondo can't shoot from anywhere on the court and they were in the Finals last year. Wesley Matthews is shooting 39% from the three point line as a starter this year. That's the same as Ray Allen was in the playoffs last year.

Oh and Gerald Wallace was a 37% three point shooter last year. He'd get more open looks playing with Aldridge than he is getting with the Bobcats.

Boston is 4th in the NBA in 3pt %. Portland is 30th.

Then again, Wallace is shooting better from deep than Nic is this year.

Poor Gerald Wallace if he is traded from the Bobcats to the Cavs...

That trade seems to make sense for both sides. Gilbert wants to get something of value for that TPE and is willing to spend money and the Bobcats need to shed salary and get an asset. win-win.

what asset do the bobcats get; Cleveland wants Wallace AND a pick. If the trade was with Portland they could get an asset, and since it would only be a half year of Joel's salary and if Portland included 3 million dollars it would still be fairly good financially for the Bobcats.
