Some new news: -- In the event of a draw in any of the tournament bouts a fourth official will come in to decide on a winner (supposing he/she also doesn't deem the fight a draw). The official will be appointed by Strikeforce, not an athletic commission, so conflicts of interest abound. -- If a fighter gets injured and is unable to continue in the tournament a committee of five Strikeforce officials will determine the most suitable replacement. This is something like what they do on TUF for the wildcard fighters but it also means that the reserve bouts (three of which are planned with a fourth also possible) are symbolic since SF can just pick whoever. -- The winner of the tournament will get a title shot vs. Alistair Overeem, meaning Overeem is competing for a title shot against himself since he is part of the tournament. What a motivator. Yet in spite of this I am still looking forward to the fights. http://www.cagepotato.com/its-official-strikeforce-just-making-sht-it-goes
Lol, only Strikeforce could put together such an awesome looking tournament and then continue to fuck it up.
