What is something interesting about your basketball team?My basketball coach Mike Bailey coached Allen Iverson in high school and was like a father to him. I remember when Iverson won his MVP award he thanked him for it also. Our whole team gets free Iverson shoes to start each season. My summer travel league coach right now is a defensive monster. He shut Kobe Bryant down in high school and held him to only 8 points. He also shut down a few other Div 1 prospects. He has a DVD out on how to play better defense. You guys?
My coach for the new year in high-school has nothing special about him at all, however our football coach use to play for the redskins.
Well, my old high school coach used to play professional basketball over in Europe, but was never really quite good enough for the NBA.My old junior high school coach used to work for the Rockets, and has the two championship rings they won in 1994 and 1995.My sister's friend's dad was an assistant coach under Larry Brown for the Philadelphia 76ers, and he usually tried to bring as many players down for her birthday as he possibly can because his daughter is a huge basketball fan.My neighbor is the president of some Chinese association here in Houston, and she was responsible for the welcoming party for Yao Ming when he was first drafted. They still keep in touch and sometimes Yao comes over to their house, even though he only lives like two or three minutes from me, as do some other basketball players.
I am on it.Seriously though...nothing.YEt me and my teammates caught the coach watching porno with other people at a hotel for a tournament
One of our coaches on our NJB team won two rings as a starting Tight End with the 49ers, he was also a macdonalds all american basketball player. Jaimie WilliamsAnybody remember that 3 point shooter from Stanford on their near perfect regular season a couple of years ago? Matt Lottich, he was our school coach last year.
My coach makes 30 minute long speeches about nothing at all. but seriously, i'm not kidding. He really does do that.
Nothing interesting about the team, but my science teacher went to the same college/uni as Jamaal Magloire.
Hey Tony think you could hook me up with that DVD?And, well are team is mainly 3 guards and 2 forwards. If you call that interesting.

Oh yeah heres the link to where you said it.http://www.bball-world.net/forum/index.php...opic=5362&st=45Anyways there's nothing that interesting about my team. this year for the end of the season tourny though we came in as the last seed and ended the tournament getting fourth place including pulling an upset against the third seed in the second round.
Bill Curley, a 6 9 forward that was drafted 22nd overall in 1994 when to my high school. He was a beast at Boston College and made it to to the elite 8 that year with this team, a really monumental achievement for BC basketball. But he f'd up his knee after his first year in the league, he was never the same. He bounced around to San Antonio, Houston, Golden St., he was a typical NBA journeyman. He actually just hangs out around my town now doing nothing, he has some camp but it sucks.
my coach was fat and so was our assistant coach. they were good guys. my head coach was a pastor. he retired w/ our team. in his 7 years as coach for our team he has had 7 straight league championships. all his years spent w/ us. he was a cool guy. he's moved on from coaching though. thaz about it! we're a small school and we own the teams in our league. but we're finally moving up a division so we're probably gonna be a little over .500 next year.yeah.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Darrick Dixon, playing for Williamsport High School drew the defensive assignment of guarding Kobe Bryant when the Williamsport "Millionaires" played Lower Merion High School who featured a future millionaire in Bryant. Dixon did a masterful defensive job and limited Bryant to just 8 points, probably his lowest point total ever in competitive play. Dixon went on the play college ball, coach, and write a book.
