How he gets more than 5 MPG is beyond me. 8.8/5.8 per 36 minutes with an 8.7 PER? Fuck me, the guy is a complete no factor on offense and defense.
He doesn't seem to be playing really well lately, but I still think he's going to be a decent NBA player. Don't be so quick to give up.
The worst player on the team is Rudy Fernandez. He's like a homeless man's Derek Anderson. Good god, I can't stand him. He just jacks up 3pt shots and only makes 30% of them. Then he tries that stupid "la bomba" shot every once in awhile, but he's only made like 5 mid range shots in his entire career as a Blazer.
Dante would be a great complimentary player on a team like San Antonio or Boston. He's being asked to step outside his comfort zone with our depleted roster, but I'll never question his effort and hustle. He certainly isn't spectacular, but he's plenty reliable.
Brother you are sadly mistaken. Luke Babbitt is a bust! Dante is twice the player he will ever be. Luke can't play defense to save his life.
Dante can't play offense to save his life. He has the 15th worst true shooting percentage of any player in the league that plays over 15 MPG and 22nd worst PER. He also makes some of the dumbest fouls ever. We're also -8.1 when he's on the floor, the only players worse? A hobbling Joel, Sean Marks, and Fabricio Oberto. I'd rather see if our 16th pick can play. I don't want to see Cunningham on the floor wasting valuable minutes anymore.
HCP have you been hanging out with Mixum? Babbitt is the best shooter on the team and any GM in the league would gladly put him on their team ahead of Dante. I'm going to assume that was a bad joke.
I've watched practices and Luke gets abused! He can shoot the rock and that is it! Dante hustles, scraps and brings it on defense. Right now we need help coming off the bench bigtime, but if minutes are to go to somebody, I want Dante on the floor, NOT Babbitt. Kinda off topic, but I would love to have Marty and JB back, been saying that since day 1 of each of their trades.
Wait. I thought Cunningham was on his way to being the best back up 4 in the league? And HCP...Your boys, the Mike's, keep raving about Babbitt. Aren't we supposed to take what they say as gospel?
I honestly don't think Dante is terrible. He's actually a solid backup. He brings energy, is a solid defender, rebounds, and can hit the mid range shot. But he he's just a role player off the bench, and I think he does a fair job, but I wouldn't say he's terrible.
It's like I said earlier this season, he's a one-trick pony. The guy ONLY has his mid-range shot and I figured that when teams worked that out, he would be screwed. It sure seems like teams figured that out.
