gladly. juries suck. No one wants to be on them. at work we have arbitration agreements. much much cleaner.

heres how you get out of it....

always postpone your date. usually the day you choose is filled and you get excused by calling day before. worked everytime for me.

also when you reschedule ... pick close to a holiday if you can like election day, mon, tues or wed before thanksgiving or week before xmas. it works 90% of time.

and final trick.... if you arent excused after postponing.... call and reschedule again. its almost a 100% they will excuse you as they will be filled.

every time? How many times have you been called? Maybe if you actually did it once, they wouldn't keep calling you. Most of the people I've talked to have only been called once, they showed up for it, hung around for a few hours and left. Never got called back.

Well, if you don't want to serve, you could try my brother-in-law's method. He is brutally honest with every question asked during jury selection. He was questioned before a drug trail, and they asked him what he thought about hashish. He answered, "It's too expensive." Dismissed. He says he's been dismissed three times by not beating around the bush. Of course, he's a pretty 'out there' kind of guys, so his version of the 'truth' leaves some people a little cold.

Weird that I've never been called for jury duty. I've been a registered voter for over 40 years. My Mom was called a half dozen times during that time period. Go Figure.

    Go Blazers
