It would be way cool. What are they waiting for? Throw this kid into the fire and see if he can ball.
and what are they gonna get us? orlandos 2nd rounder lol? Who will PG? Mills LMAO Who will play center???? LA? Who will play PF???? Stop you are just being dumb unless you honestly believ these guys will bring back players at same position.
He said he wanted to stay with the Blazers as often and as sincerely as Camby has said it. If we trade Camby, I expect some will again comfort themselves with similar revisionist history.
Not in my opinion, either. Juwan Howard being terrible made him expendable. Good guy, though. I wish him well in future endeavors.
THATS MY POINT!!!!! What about next year and the following? We will be starting Mills and Marks! Camby, Joel, Oden will be GONE. Miller GONE! And we will have no money for free agents to come in. We will be signing guys like luther head. Thats why you need a creative gm.
You think he's more terrible than Marks? Will we win 50 games with Marks starting much of the season, the same situation as last year with Howard?
I fully expect this to blow your mind, but if Cho trades these really old guys for draft picks/players presumably there will be draft picks and/or trades for players that will replace Mills and Marks ... as hard as it is to imagine either of those guys being replaceable.
Oden is NOT necessarily gone. He is just injured, but he can heal. Miller is NOT necessarily gone. He is signed for another year on that contract (team option). Free agency - we will have at least our MLE to attempt to sign another player (see Matthews) who can produce. A team built around Aldridge, Batum, Matthews, and Oden is a good start, in fact, better than some sucky teams now have. We just have to look for talent and stay healthy. What if Elliot Williams is just what we need to replace Roy? You never know.
Well I can tell you I know that Elliot Williams isn't the replacement to Roy. In fact I would go so far as to say he is the Anti Roy. Before his knee surgeries he was athletic and raw where Roy was polished and not athletic. He is closer to a Travis Outlaw than a Roy. I see that guy as a raw project who they intended to mold into a specific type of player.
Not MORE terrible, no. Will we win 50 games with Marks? Perhaps not. But if we had the Roy of last year, even with the time he missed, we might.
