Anne Hathaway! I think she's the best looking catwoman for this role (compared to the past ones). More pictures of her here. http://imageworldblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/cute-and-soft-babe-anne-hathaway.html Source: http://blog.movies.yahoo.com/blog/435-anne-hathaway-is-your-new-selina-kyle
I have no problem with this choice, but I don't know why Nolan wants Catwoman in his series. He could easily find a better villain.
I have zero knowledge of Batman in general but does it have something to do with needing a new female lead role/love interest after whats her name got killed off?
I hate Anne Hathaway. I hate her even more as Catwoman. I also hate that there is going to be a Catwoman.
There's going to be a catwoman in the next movie? EEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Do not want
I couldn't tell you. My Batman knowledge is limited. There were rumors of Tali Al Ghul (daughter of Liam Neeson's character from the first movie) being in the movie. I believe she would be Batman's love interest while secretly wanting revenge for her father.
The great things about these movies is that the villains were at least based on being real and not complete fiction. They even made batman more human/real then the the old batmans. Cat woman is complete fiction which will ruin the series. How they passed on the riddler is amazing. At least you could buy that some nut job is sending riddles while on a crime spree. But fucking catvwoman??? Did nobody wantbto play mr freeze? Good god this has gone from amazing (joker) to a fucking joke.
It almost feels like Nolan didn't include The Riddler because everybody was speculating him being the next villain. I'm pretty disappointed by that decision.
A gritty version of the Riddler would've been like countless other serial killer movies that have already been made. However the choice of bringing Catwoman back seems silly...
Riddler should have been the choice. Perfect way to end series. It would have been enough villain to close it out while focus stays on batman.
I don't get it either, but I also hated Katie Holmes and I REALLY hated Maggie Gyllenhaal so why not continue with the trend?
I'll refrain from questioning any of Nolan's decisions at least until we see some more details, screenshots, trailers, etc. As mentioned above, pretty much everything you think of with Batman is a fugging caricature but somehow Nolan turns it into a relatively realistic and gritty character. I get the feeling most of you are destined for disappointment regardless of anything that happens in the movie just because it will be compared to TDK.
Well, I had my doubts about TDK because I couldn't picture Heath Ledger as The Joker, but look how that turned out? Still, I've questioned his judgment in regards to his casting of women in his movies, and I haven't been wrong so far. Holmes was weak and Gyllenhaal is pretty much terrible in everything she does. I wish they would have used Kyodai the ninja for one of the villains. He hasn't been used yet (Bane and Catwoman have) and he's honestly one of Batman's hardest foes. He would have been a great choice for the next movie. Honestly, I never thought any of the movies would live up to the animated series, but Nolan has successfully done that, so you never know. This is the episode with Kyodai in it... but you have to pay. Couldn't find anything on him for free http://www.amazon.com/Day-of-the-Samurai/dp/B001BXV7T8/ref=pd_vodsm_B001BXV7T8
