Horrible start. Poor shot selection and shitty defense. My favorite thing so far: Smart calls timeout and is LIVID! I've been waiting for him to show some passion...stupid plays should result in some harsh words from the coach. Good stuff.
The team seemed to respond well to the aforementioned timeout. Good first quarter from Andris. Some nice passing all around.
This was a pretty ugly game, or perhaps more bipolar. The game was filled with big runs by each team back and forth. Officiating was not the sharpest overall. I am curious though why for the second straight game Curry was on the bench for the first 6+ minutes of the fourth quarter, especially since he got the team in the game at the end of the third, he was the team's leading scorer, and he is or was the team's best fourth quarter scorer. The last 15 minutes of a game is Curry time - and also Ellis time I suppose now too. Now I just hope Ellis will be back tomorrow or at least by Monday against the Spurs.
Wow, Dick Bavetta is getting too old to officiate and his crew is not seeing too well either. Good win, but it cost us Monta Ellis in the last 22 seconds of the game in overtime. That's a tough win to be happy about. A measly 22 seconds. I don't care about Monta's defense so much as we win and because that guy is so damn clutch. He just bails the warriors out. Also, I think the reason why Keith Smart is sitting Curry because he needs to sub in his favorite sixth man Vladimir Radmanovic. At least the cool thing was that it seemed like 4 different warriors were stepping up and hitting clutch shots, Radmo included.

Awesome finish to the game. Down 9 points with 2 minutes to go, and GS comes back to tie it with the last second Monta jumper. Then total domination in overtime (until the Kings srambled with fouls and made it interesting in the final minute). So nice to beat the Kings this way. Lee looked very good. And Curry had something like 36 points...
Lee with 3 straight 20+ ppg nights and 4 games in a row of 9-10 rebs. Also getting his FG% back up to NYK days- 55% for January so far. The last time he had a game where he got less than 3 assists was in 2010.
BTW seems like Monta is turning yet another corner and becoming a clutch player. Last night seemed like a night where maybe before he goes for 40 and tries to out gun the Kings. Still came out with 28 points but had 9 assists. Second consecutive game he hits a game saving shot. And lately I think hes been better in the 4th quarter of games. Its too early to say but it feels like he may be on the verge of another break through. And its these kinds of things that make me say lets hold onto him. Maybe hes blossoming into a true star player instead of just a feaux star chucker combo guard.
