TBH I don't know much about Huddersfield Town.

I'm guessing we're going to field a VERY young team considering we have a PL game in Tuesday.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Jimmy Shea in net.

Benik Afobe has been given special dispensation by Wenger to play in this game. Thrill for the player, I'm sure.

2-1, Cesc scored a late penalty. Very lucky result, but a result nonetheless.

I have no idea why Denilson is still getting minutes on the pitch. He is nowhere near good enough to cut it at Arsenal, even if it is against a low league side. Worried that Diaby is back -- We all know Wenger's weird obsession with the guy. Hope it doesn't mess with Wilshere's progression.

The Squid/Kos partnership is not working out at all. Squid got sent off for a pretty blatant block and almost lost us the game. Kos isn't a bad defender but definitely our third choice behind Djourou and Vermaelen. They looked very shaky against a sub-par side (no offense to Huddersfield, but we should of demolished them). Wenger decided to take off Chamakh (another ineffective day at work) and slotted Song (from off the bench) in the centreback role. Pretty predictable.

Wenger still isn't ruling out a potential loan signing but I'm about 5% sure that will happen. The manager is right though. Why have five centrebacks on the squad? It doesn't make much sense. We all know he is a very attacking-minded tactician so he'll want to use most of his resources in that area of the squad. We need another player like Song who can play either CB or DCM. That will give us adequate cover for both areas of the pitch. As it stands, we don't have a direct replacement if Song is suspended/injured/rested.

Also, to add another bad note to all this, Nasri went off in the second-half with a hamstring injury.

Yeah not our best afternoon. Hopefully Nasri is alright.

Thanks for writing two sentences, you complete douchebag. This is me typing a second sentence to support my previous argument. I am a fan of cats and other meowing creatures.

Not every win is going to be pretty. In fact our first goal was the result of Chamakh grounding the ball with his bicep. The penalty was debatable as no angle showed much contact on Bendtner--I wonder if he is more intent on getting the penalty than a shot on goal given his hot/cold shooting form.

As long as Denilson & Diaby are young Wenger will stick by them. Diaby shows promise. Denilson is selfish and lazy but occasionally does something spectacular, much like Arshavin and Bendtner. At least Arshavin showed some heart coming back and disrupting a play in our box. Hopefully we can get Ramsey back into game shape. He looked like he was becoming something last season. I think he is maybe a rung below Diaby on Arsene's depth chart but he could displace Denilson I reckon.

Our defence is kind of crap. Kos looked better at the beginning of the season--he might be wearing down. We could really use Vermaelen back but he won't even be in any kind of form at least for a few weeks after his return. Djourou is still so young and Squiddy is almost a waste--he is insurance at best.

And who is surprised that we didn't really change the team in January? We're doing pretty good and the players that are available this time of year typically are unhappy dickheads like Adebayor. Hmm... spell-check says dickhead is a proper word. Kudos, spell-check. Plus given Wenger's current fixation on free transfers I doubt we'll see much change in the summer even.

Also I think Gibbs had maybe the worst game he's had in red and white today. He was so lost.

Yep, I noticed that too. We were lucky to of scored both goals as Bendtner went down very easily for the penalty. I wasn't very happy with Fabregas complaining to the referee but that was soon forgiven after he dispatched the penalty. It's strange how Bendy can be so random with his form. Remember his hattrick last season in the Champion's League (not sure if it was a hattrick of four goals)? The game before was one the worst of his careers!

That is most definitely Wenger's reasoning behind those two players. I also believe he doesn't want it to seem like he wasted the years nurturing them when they turn out to be shit. I believe Bendtner has much more quality than Denilson has and that's saying something. Then again, I've always been a secret fan of the Dane and a Denilson-hater. Diaby is a completely different story. He has the skill, he has the ability, and he has the right attitude to succeed. The only thing keeping him back is his random string of injuries. It is such a shame that he is injury-prone at such a young age but there's no other way to look at it.

I want to say that I see Diaby higher up in the caste than Ramsey but I'm not too sure. Wenger made the decision for a brief loan to Cardiff to get him back into the first-team squad as quickly as possible. Don't you think he wants him to gain form as quickly as possible to he can force his way into the starting sheet? I still see our starting midfield with Song-Wilshere-Fabregas though and that will be very hard for any player on the bench to change. In fact, I don't even think I want it to change for the time being. I wonder what Wenger will do to maximize our squad's potential? Surely we can't have Wilshere/Lansbury/Ramsey on the bench and I don't see him rotating the midfield every other game. Do you think Wenger is 'finished' with Wilshere or do you think he is moving him up the pitch? Right now he plays as a deep-lying central midfielder, maybe next season he will sit in the pocket much like Gerrard? I wonder if he's trying to round Wilshere up on his defensive side before focusing on his much known attacking abilities. Or maybe we'll see Fabregas-Song-Ramsey in the midfield with Nasri-van Persie-Wilshere up-front? I think that's a long shot as I believe Wilshere works best in the middle of the park. Plus we have Wellington Silva and that Japanese guy coming up through the ranks so nevermind that last thought.

I guess we can't forget about the Fabregas saga either. Knowing Barcelona, it's definitely not over and I'm sure the rumors will be sparked again this summer. Maybe we'll see a midfield of Ramsey-Wilshere-Song with Wilshere playing the Fabregas-role and Ramsey chillin' as a central midfielder linking Song with the front three. Meh, I'm definitely over-analyzing.

Arshavin was much better this game. Made a crucial tackle to stop a Huddersfield chance and I believe he hit the woodwork, right?

Anyway... We won't see any new faces.

Rumored he will be paid £175,000 basic plus add-ons over five-years. Hard to say no to that.
