Seems like this is the big blazer deal that could happen. Hollinger said it, ford says miller likely to be traded, and now lund thinks blazers arent sold on miller wanting to win. Harris has always been a front office fave. Kinda like we were constantly being linked to SAR years ago until they finally got him. Im all for getting harris but i think only way we get him is if caemelo goes to nets. denver has lost leverage and may realize they arent getting batum. yes or no..... miller for harris 3 team deal?
it would have to be 3 way accorDing to hollinger but he says its most likely blazer trade. Ripcity4life (Oregon) If the Blazers trade Miller they will need a PG in return so who do you think are realistic options out there ? The option i like and it would be a downgrade is Luke Ridnour. The team needs a PG who can shoot and distribute the ball. John Hollinger (2:12 PM) But do you want to pay Ridnour for three years after this one? Interesting name, I'll give you that. The one I think is the most likely, though, is Devin Harris. The issue, however, is that I don't think the Nets want Miller, so it would have to be a three-way.
I'm not a big fan of his advanced stats, either... Miller's old, and not quite elite, but he plays very well for the Blazers, especially this season. I'd be very cautious around picking the player to replace him.
Give up only Miller and get back Harris? Of course. Even if you don't want to keep Harris long term, which is a better trade commodity going forward?
this is without question the blazer should and definitely would do this. give harris a break for being on one of the worst teams in the league for the past couple years. i heard the mavs wanted to get him back too....surround him with some quality players and hes pretty good
Yes because there is a lot more to think about than a straight up talent swap. There is the fact that Miller is getting old and near the end of his contract. Even if we only kept Harris long enough to turn him into something else down the road, that is better than having your starting PG just walk and you left with nothing.
If you think Brandon is done then it's a great trade. Wes and Rudy are both good enough shooters to work well with Harris.
Absolutely, Harris has more prime years left. Also, Harris has the potential to return to his former defensive prowess, perhaps, while Miller's once-good man defense is gone forever due to age.
