Chicago To Draft Roy For Lakers? 14th June, 2006 - 7:51 am DraftExpress.com - According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, Phil Jackson believes Brandon Roy is the perfect player for the triangle offense and so the Lakers are talking with teams in the top 5 about trading up. One rumor has them sending Lamar Odom to Chicago in return for the rights to the #2 and #16 picks. This trade might have to be consummated after the draft, when Chicago has cap space to take on a bigger contract. Moving Odom?s $40 million contract would give the Lakers room to explore the talented free agent class of 2007. This may be where the obvious Brandon Roy to Chicago at #2 smokescreen started from. [READ] linki think this would be awsome for both the lakers and the bulls, let me explain the lakers are desperatly looking for new talent especially a guy like roymlike the article says, phil jackson would be perfect for the triangle offense.PJ knows what he wants, the bulls need some1 new,i know they have no intention of moving gorden to to the lakers for odom as rumored before, this rumor is more likely, odom is perfect for the bulls, they move him to pf and chandler or sweeteny to center, more likely chandler, piakowski will likely be released or traded and deng will stay at sf for the bulls,i like this idea and trade
That would be a big deal, but it seems like they could get more than just two picks for a player like Lamar Odom.
You know, Lamar Odom is starting to dissapoint me. Even after the great playoff performances, I think he isn't right for the triangle. But I am willing to see what he will do in one more year. But that throws away the Brandon Roy opportunity out the window. I'm still interested to see if the Lakers can pull of a Chris Mihm-Devean George deal to Houston for the 8th pick. They could still draft Marcus Williams, another good point guard in the draft.
there was also a rumor of basically Lamar Odom and Chris Mihm to Chicago for #2 and Ben Gordon. :beerchug:
I really don't think Chicago would do this, this would be great for the Lakers though, they need the young talent.
I'm the rapper Jason yo!Roy would not be good soto this idea I say nounless he gets an afrohe won't be worth any snowI've watched his games and they showhe is definitely not a pro
