Truthfully, I've never watched even a minute of one. However, being in Honolulu last week, I felt a lot of the buzz that is surrounding the event this year. First of all, the game is back in Hawaii (where it belongs), and secondly, the game is being played between the Conference Championships and the Superbowl. I think that was a good call on the powers'-that-be part. Now, I wouldn't think the game will draw a very high viewership. However, I imagine it'll certainly be better than when the game followed the SB...after everyone had already exhaled from the "real" games. That said, I think I'll schedule a trip for next year's game.....................that is, if I'm not living there already.
I used to watch it every year as a kid. The idea of seeing things like Marino throwing to Largent was pretty cool. But I lost interest over time and haven't watched one in like 15 years.
sucks balls. I remember Shaun Rogers talking all that trash and outlifting everyone or all that showmanship that goes in for the fastest man only for Hester to destroy everyone.
Anyhow, back to the point of the thread, I actually went to the Pro Bowl in 1999. I won the trip while working for E&J Gallo. I left at halftime to go back to the beach. The only fun part of the game to me was booing John Elway in his final "NFL" game.
The Pro Bowl is absolutely horrible. It's gotta be the worst all star game of the 4 major american sports. They have to hold it in Hawaii or the players wouldn't show up in my opinion.
