This was expected. Says something about your company if you have to go to Mudbucket USA to hold your event because one of your fighters is a repeat offender.

IIRC this is what happened when the Sylvia/Mercer fight was arranged. The fight wasn't going to be sanctioned so they moved it to Alabama.

Rumour has it Strikeforce is trying to take the Barnett & Overeem quarter-final fights to Japan. Easier said than done?

If I were to put money on it I would bet on the finals not happening or not including the proper fighters, but if everything goes off I think Fedor should cruise.

Through their partnership with DREAM I gather? That would seem to make it a lot easier.

You even think Fedor will blow through Overeem?

Based on their careers it would seem like a run-of-the-mill fight for Fedor. Reem was knocked out or submitted in his last four fights in Pride. Since then he's only been crushing cans.

yeah because Fedor can take a punch and I'm not sold on Reem's gas tank. Fedor gets this to the ground and it'll be another story as well. Overeem hasn't been out of the 1st round in MMA since Nov 2007.

I dunno man, yes Overeem was fighting at 205 and was not training up to his potential. However, I think Overeem now at HW is a Monster and is a force to reckon with..

This is pretty much my thoughts as well. I'd favor Fedor but Reem is such a monster in the standup. If it gets to the ground you've got to like Fedor but even though Reem's been can crushing I still think he's a pretty feared striker.

But yeah, I'd still take Fedor. I'm not nearly as down on him as many are.

Fedor to win it all. He got caught in a great sub by a great BJJ guy...that simple...I think he can get Overeem down and he should be able to pound him out.

Having no faith in Fedor's "management team", I expect him to walk away before the tourney is over. (if not before it even starts)
