Al Gore. Yet my Post #2 was deleted about Bryant Gumbel's long hair in 1973 hiding the fact he was a conservative.

I just said that when Gumbel was a sports guy in Los Angeles TV station news, he had the most avant-garde Afro you've ever seen. It was sculpted like a hedge, down over his ears, into the shape of a Nazi helmet. He sounded conservative but looked really radical. You couldn't be sure until the late 70s when he wore a more typical short Afro and talked more like a conservative.

Julius has an affinity for Number 2 so he must have dumped my post.

Looks like the moderator makes it look one way for you, another for me. Anyway, ask your parents how to have sex, not me.

That's the awful disgusting comment that made him threaten to fight me.

I pretended Blazer Prophet was asking how to have sex, and answered that he should ask his parents about the birds and the bees. I thought he'd find it mildly (okay, stupidly) amusing, but it appears he is offended by joking about sex. He claims that I insulted his parents, who are dead. (Mine are, too.) From his name I'm guessing that he's quite religious, but apparently not the "Love thy neighbor" kind of religion, as I espouse.

Well, if the guy had said it more gently, I'd have told him I didn't mean any meanness. (I thought he was a big boy. I was clowning in a lot of threads that hour.) Then I would have treated him with kidgloves, probably forever. Instead, he threatened that he hoped to "meet" me.

Well, there sure won't be any apology after that threat. I just PMd him and invited him to the "discussion" he wants. Maybe I'll "impress" a memory on him for his "scrapbook."

I was wanting to know how you blacked out words in your post. I thought it was clever. Maybe I took your response wrong, but at the time it struck me as deeply and intentionally insulting. If there was no intent, then I'll let it go. As to wanting to meet you and kick you ***, that was a regrettable comment when I was steamed as I am not a person who starts fights- although I won't shy away from one. Again, if your commeny had no bad intentions, I'll let it lay. You have a good reputation (well, for the most part) and I take you at your word.

Technology is an extension of ourselves. In line with that thought, take what it is you already do well and adapt it to the technology available to you.

Was I wrong? Did I fly off the handle at jlprk? Well, after checking emails from last night two people I respect have told me so thus far. Maybe so, I don't know. I still thought the comment was out of line.
