At least Joel can, and does, set a pick. Johnson showed the worst pretend pick I've ever seen last night, LOL. He didn't get within 4 feet of the guy he was supposed to be picking before he rolled to the basket, and really hung out the guard to dry. I chalked it up to his first game, timing, and the jitters. No big. I'd drop Sean Marks and keep Johnson in a heartbeat. I have no problem giving Marks some of Paul Allen's money to go away. Overall (except for the missed pick) I liked what I saw from Mr. Johnson.
Are you kidding? Johnson's PER is currently 31.9 with an ORtg of 250 and a DRtg of 98! His Reb% is 30, and his WS/48 is .540! Get an interview now so that when he's MVP next year you can say you knew him before he was a world-beater!
Honestly, you should send that to HCP and see if he can get it to Johnson. LOL If I were him, I'd frame it. Of course, if it were HCP he would probably put it on a T-shirt.
I think we, as a community, should come together to put this on a shirt and present it to HCP with a tag line of "this is my Johnson". Make it so, make it so.
I think this is already done. Beerboy said he already sent a pic of his johnson to Mrs. HCP. I am sure that is what he was talking about.
Remember how Juan "The Mahn" Dixon used to be our end of game clutch shooter before we got Roy? Our shooting percentage has sucked ever since we got rid of him. He made shots at least as consistently as Matthews or Rudy. The Mahn should have Mills' spot.
I don't think there ever was a "Marks experiment". He was warming the bench. I also don't think anyone expects Johnson to bring a whole lot either. He's a placemarker until we are more healthy (IF we're ever more healthy). The fact he has some hops and energy is a plus, but let's take it for what it is.
12 min, 1-3 FGM-A, 0-2 FT, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 turnover. Not to bad. Lets see if he plays against the Pacers.
6.5 He's already peaked. Well, it was one hell of run while it lasted. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/johnsch03.html
