Yeah I saw the article on yahoo sports today but never read it. Im curious though why he chose to be a part owner of the bobcats though.

I just read this on NBA.com, and I'm glad he did become a partial-owner. I hope he starts making some effective changes to the Bobcats for their benefit, I want to see how he does as an owner.

Even more reason to like the team I already like, I really think this team has a lot of potential a lot like the bulls. They're a great sg away(ronnie brewer?) from being set.

I think Mike will have success in Charlotte. He has said before that he would like to run or help run a franchise again, and what better way to do that than to take a team that a few years back was just an expansion team. I think the appeal of the Bobcats to the native Carolineans will expand with Jordan in the front office.

Jordan became part owner because he is smart, he knows that this is an upcoming team that will bring success in the years to come. I don't expect for you to hear much from him, I'm sure no off-season signings or trades he will get credited for but he is a good owner.

This is great. Not just for the Bobcats but for all basketball fans. We can hear more about what he has to say. For the past few years he has spoken so little, we have forgotten about him in the present.

I believe that he is going to be in charge of the business and marketing aspects of the job.

Hey, maybe he'll come back to the NBA and give them that SG they need! :yahoo: lol, seriously though I think he will do a good job there and a few years from now they may be contending with FA's and all the high picks they get.

But yea I have to agree with BCB, I don't know why Brewer was mentioned, no way he's taken in the top 3, even top 10 really unless a team reaches. Roy would be the perfect with the Cats, but on topic, it's not a big deal for me, he didn't really do anything special in Washington under management.

He cleared the cap for them, allowing to bring in better players. He also got some young talent, got rid of the bad contracts and old players. However, like I said before he isn't going to get any credit for what they do, hes just a behind the scenes guy.

Look it up.

It's nice to see him back in the spotlight somewhat. It definetly will be interesting to see what he does with the franchise.

I have no idea why I didn't comment on this yesterday. But this is great news and I'm happy to see MJ back in the NBA doing something. I wish him well. Also, people knock on him for drafting Kwame Brown #1. Every GM would have drafted him #1 that year, don't let them fool you. The way Kwame turned out so far is not MJ's fault, it's Kwame's.

This is a great thing for the Bobcats organization, MJ obviously knows a lot about the game and did a lot for the Wizards even though he went unnoticed. The same will happen with the Bobcats, he will do a lot for the team but fly under the radar and not get th credit he deserves for the moves he makes.
